Liked: The site was very secluded and within walking distance of the coastal path and beach. The facilities were clean and well maintained, hot showers and also hot water for washing up.

Disliked: Early morning noise from the adjacent caravan club site.
Not being able to park next to my pitch even though Pitchup says you can. This was a minor inconvenience and did not affect my stay.

Fantastic off-grid campsite between East Portlemouth and East Prawle for exploring South Devon.

One of very few campsite with decent facilities in the area that makes for an excellent base to make the most of South Devon.

The composting loos may not be for everyone, but it was incredibly quiet; so much space between pitches that it seemed deserted; but a very friendly, communal atmosphere.

Highly recommended campsite in South Devon if you want to make the most of the area between East Portlemouth and East Prawle without commuting from the bigger towns North.

A very safe, special place in a wonderful location. Myself and 3 friends first came here last year for a ‘chill’ stag-do and it was so wholesome and perfect for us, that we’ve decided to make it an annual get-together (best friends from school, now age 40).
Pigs Nose is walkable if you don’t mind a slight trek, Gara Rock very walkable.
Stayed in Bluebell last year and Celandine this year (names of yurts). Both were top quality and ever so cosy.
Friendly, helpful proprietor with good communication.
The communal kitchen is super handy.

Liked: Beautiful surroundings, very laidback. A perfect combination of nature and living. Eco showers and compost toilets. Long grass for the bees and insects with plenty of space between pitches. Cat and the team were great, doing fantastic things for the community. Putting on courses (there was a permaculture course on when we arrived) and evenings for the less fortunate. Couldn’t have asked for better place to call our base.

Come and get "high" on "nature". Cat was the consummate host. Very friendly and extremely generous. superb place to get away from it all. a lovely location. The yurts are incredible. Beautifully furnshed with all the rustic charm one could want. excellent shared facilllities. High Nature reminded so much of places I stayed in New Zealand. This is a little gem tucked away and surrounded by some beautiful wild nature. Amazing little set up. Thanks Cat.

Just spent a wonderful week with our family and friends sharing adjoining yurts. Is the perfect place for get togethers in the outdoors. The place has a wonderful semi wild feeling and is beautifully located, definitely planning to return to this piece of heaven.

I have camped on this site now 5 times and I love it. I don't know of a more tranquil and peaceful part of England; it is like being immersed in nature. If you are after certain home comforts and flushing toilets then this place might not be for you but to stay here and be amongst the singing birds and chirruping insects is awesome!
