I ordered food whilst sitting in the very pleasant bar area. I'd ordered a taxi and it was going to come sooner than I thought. The staff still managed to cook my meal in time before the taxi arrived, and omg was it good. My expectations for here weren't high because it's in a little village and on a main road, but, I was so so wrong. The food is absolutely delicious. This is food made with years of knowledge and an abundance of TLC. Definitely try this place and especially the food, it's brilliant and delicious ❤️

The customer service is first class. Very friendly, kind host. The lunchtime menu is generous and the quantity and quality of the meals are very good. Excellent, basic food with choices from curries to sandwiches, burgers, lasagnes. Spacious surroundings. Warm atmosphere. Can be cosy in winter with log fire or cool in summer with plentry of outdoor space.

Yes it needs updating in parts but owner and staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Was cold when we arrived but heating was turned on for us and this enabled us to have a good sleep|Breakfast was great. We didn't eat there in the evening as we were attending a wedding but food being served looked great|Thanks for a lovely stay

The staff are all lovely couldn’t do enough for you especially Gill and Jimmy. Food was top notch definitely would recommend. We stayed over rooms were great for the price for a short stay or stop over.

Didn’t stay at the hotel, we only stopped for food.|We ordered the Halford mixed grill along with a few sides and the quantity and quality were excellent. Very good value for money.|Pub was nice and busy, great staff too!! Would definitely return.

The location is great for us in Stratford. It’s a 15 minute drive and there is plenty of parking.
I haven’t rated the rooms as we won’t ever need to stay.
Now, the food…
We have been twice and tried both menus, English and Indian:
The quality of ingredients and flavours are exceptional! Be in no doubt, they will cook the food, exactly as you want.
We went for a mixed grill this evening and can say that this is the best mixed grill within a 10-15 mile radius.
As an Indian family who like to eat out, we’re not exactly blessed in Stratford.
The food isn’t unnecessarily hot, anyone who knows good food will tell you that it’s not about heat, it’s about the flavours, and boy does the food pack in flavour.
The mixed grill was also big enough to feed a family of four and have enough left over for a cheeky snack tomorrow.
The service was without fault too.
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Gill and Jimmy were the perfect host, incredibly welcoming and couldn’t have done anymore for us for my mums birthday! We stayed in the loft superking room 21 and we couldn’t fault it, we had a lovely large free standing bath, the bed was sooo comfy. The location was great so close to the main Cotswolds attractions and we can’t fault the food. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back to stay again.

Not good. This was a last minute booking and the only place in my budget range. The photos on their website look great, they forgot to put a photo of the one I was given. Very dated, the window would not open and you could not see out of it - it was filthy. Fortunately there was a fan in the room. The shower - this definitely needs to be sorted! There was quite a step up into it but nothing to grab hold of to help. The doors opened in such a way that there was not a lot of room to get in - if you are of a larger stature, as I am, you cannot get in! If you wanted your room serviced then you had to tell them - for the price I paid I would have expected it done regardless. I didn't eat there but never saw any evidence of breakfast - that was extra. The place seemed popular in the evening as it had an Indian restaurant which is supposed to be very good. |It is an old coaching inn and the potential is great, but, it just seems of the attitude fill the rooms regardless.. pity..
