Great Hotel in Pangbourne, we stayed there for a business trip. Good food choice and a good selection of beers. Staff were excellent and friendly. Rooms were good quality for the price. Free parking. Only minor issue was train noise, but would stay again. 👍

Nice pub and prices standard friendly staff too... But the room I stayed in was awful.. Outdated not very clean and the bathroom needed a total overhaul... Shower mixer tap not work poor flow of water.. Toilet wouldn't flush properly looked out of the 1970s.
Couldn't sleep a wink as right next to mainline railway track trains all night long... Needs some investment. There was no parking as the car park was tiny for the number of rooms. It's cheap for a reason unfortunately.

Came here for food but have stayed before for the night.
The rooms are good.
The food is very fairly priced for the standard of food.
I bought my nan and sister here for lunch and the food was delightful.
The service was five star.

Disappointing. Found it tired and dated. The bed was very uncomfortable. Room next to a busy railway line so noisy. Bar was comfortable, and staff welcoming, though

Located very close to main Oxford - Paddington rail line and cheaper rooms are at that end - bring ear plugs. Only real ale on during my visit was Doom Bar but the Guinness was cool.

Room smelt of stale smoke. Chair in room was broken. Cold tap in bathroom broken. No soap provided in bathroom (just a shampoo). Dated decor. So many stairs to get to room. Noisy road outside. Evening meal food was OK. I booked 2 nights - only stayed 1.

Nice enough but there was no information given at all when checking in, just took payment and gave key. Not told where the breakfast/meals were available or anything else regarding stay. Mould in grouting in bathroom. No customer service at all...

Rooms quite small
TV the smallest ever seen in a hotel - smaller than Sun newspaper?
Bed was uneven, sloped towards headboard, cheap mattress, very uncomfortable
Stains on wall
Cracked toilet cistern
No hot water in the morning for a shower
Host checked us out at 9am still in dressing gown, didn’t bother asking about our stay
