We had a gorgeous weekend. the atmosphere is so laid back and charming it feels like a home from home. We loved the little extras - night time tea in our room. Coffees in the morning we could help ourselves to, cake at 4, wine and cheese at 5. Generous and warm. We had great service but especially from the fantastic front of office manager from South Africa, Ulendi. He was incredible. And the yoga was such high quality I loved it. We will come back in the summer for certain.

We stayed just one Saturday night in February for a quick break. The feel of the communal areas is very cozy and welcoming. I love the variety of the spaces. Everything is good quality, service is great. Lighting in a few areas was a little low for us.

We ate dinner and breakfast at Harry’s. The variety and quality of all the food items was top class. Great that everything is freshly made. Service is excellent and friendly. The lighting at the far back right corner table in the evening was a bit low for us.

The Garden Room was lovely. Everything clean and top quality. On check in we had no bath towels and the tissues were empty. This was very soon corrected as well as a loan phone charger provided. For the price paid I did think that I was expecting more “wow” factor.

We love The Gallivant! The arrival of Matthew at Harry’s has elevated the dining experience significantly. We had the most delicious dinner in the beautifully refurbished restaurant. Lindsey is a wonderful member of the team - so friendly and welcoming. We appreciated Harry chatting to us at the table. The bedrooms are very comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches. Thank you very much for a lovely mid-week stay.

Another absolutely wonderful stay at the Gallivant.

The weather was terrible but the staff, facilities, rooms and food made up for the driving rain. All the staff went out of their way to make our time at the hotel absolutely wonderful - thanks so much! The room was incredibly comfortable, beautifully decorated and had absolutely everything we needed. Dinner was delicious - particularly the main course of hake: wow! Breakfast made us want to linger for another day but - no surprise - it was booked, even in gloomy February.

We just wished we could have taken up the offer of a bottle of wine and stargazing on the beach - but the beautiful bar was so much cosier.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel warm and welcomed.

It was lovely to have a drink and play games in the snug before the most amazing dinner. Honestly, we were so impressed with the food. Everything was delicious for breakfast and dinner.

The room was tastefully decorated and not noisy at all. The bed was really comfortable and we both slept very well - helped by the amazing food and wine, I’m sure!

The morning yoga was a nice touch and the location by the beach was really beautiful.

We loved our stay and would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our visit. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful which made our stay very enjoyable indeed.
Food was perfect and the selection of English wines and spirts was impressive.
Exceeded our expectations even though our son had stayed with you and mentioned how nice it was.

My husband and I returned to celebrate my birthday as we had a fabulous stay over New Year. We had a lovely few days and the team were great again. Special thanks to John, Tiffany and Lindsay for their usual enthusiastic but professional approach and arranging the sunshine to show off Camber at its best. We will be back soon.
