Great hotel with amazing friendly staff. I stayed here for an evening in Kings Lynn and check in was a smooth and quick process, it was a small £10 charge to park in their car park for 24hrs.
The room was tidy and well presented with adequate amenities for the evening. I went out for dinner and when I returned was able to get a few drinks in at the bar. The service at the bar was impressive and the cocktails were amazing.
The bed was comfy and easy to sleep in, and the shower was hot first thing in the morning. All in all a great stay at this very well presented hotel, with extremely helpful and friendly staff.

Asked for a quiet room and was given one over a party room "music until midnight", then given a room next to a heat pump sounding like an aircraft and then had to pay an extra fee to get a "quiet room", (that wasnt). Blind didn't fit and light from outside lit up the room, fittings and paint falling off the wall. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. To get "room service" you had to go down to the bar and pay in advance, kinda defeats the point ! Very poor phone signal in hotel and WiFi forces an app onto your phone and requires, address, phone no & DoB, its wholly unnecessary to submit such personal details just for WiFi.

My room was in the old part of the hotel with its sloping floors and an ancient staircase, straight out of a 1930's vampire movie. The hotel looks newly decorated, the two lounges one opposite the bar a larger one opposite the restaurant with several groups seating, all looking very welcoming. The staff are all very cheerful and helpful, close to the shops a great find; looking forward to the next visit.

Lovely hotel really good location. service was excellent and a bonus wonderful proper cocktails. Very good cooked breakfast with gluten free options. Only downside was the lighting in the rooms was so muted hard to see to put makeup on and had to use the light on my phone to read. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff very friendly. Room was nice but smell of damp was off putting. Carpet outside really wet. Did report to receptionist who will escalate it. Food was very nice last

belly pork portion a little small for the price. The fish and chips was lovely and we had a lovely breakfast this morning. They were very good providing a gluten free breakfast. I would stay here again . Location was perfect.

The place looks fine visually however the owners have badly neglected service. There's a lack of staff everywhere, like it is a ghost tavern! Booked lunch in Turners restaurant for our anniversary. Standing around for 20 minutes waiting for someone to show up. They had closed the restaurant without letting us know so we had to eat in the bar instead.

Took 25 minutes for drinks, 50 minutes for food. Felt sorry for the barmaid who was very embarrassed and apologetic that the place was so awfully managed. Food was terrible. As bad a Sunday roast as I've had. Looking around everyone looked miserable and angry. Get your act together Dukes Head, every time we come here it's a disappointment. You've got a lovely venue but you neglect the most important things. Sort out your staffing. Sort out your food.

You could not do worse. That's not a challenge btw.

Very good value hotel. We have been staying there for many years. Well situated and efficiently run. Only one criticism, unfortunately, the hot breakfast wasn’t up to their usual standard, as it was very greasy and unappetising. The staff are all well trained and friendly, particularly Kiera, in the dining room, who was a delight.

Terrible food. No effort. Avoid. ||Went here for a Christmas party. I appreciate cooking for a large number can be hard but this place is just lazy. ||All fried cheap rubbish. Not a single item of salad to be seen. ||Quiche was cheap and frozen. Chips were lukewarm. Venue was tired. ||A great shame because it could be fantastic. Truly just a lazy effort on the part of the hotel
