The driving tour provided us with a great route and choice of hotels in fantastic locations. Only downside was the listed timings were miles out and in future I recommend they need to allow for stops for food, enjoy the views, fuel and toilet breaks etc, but a minor issue overall as we were also blessed with perfect weather for most of the week of the tour. Having personally planned several trips over past 30 years in Morgans, I have found often to my cost how difficult it is to get these trips right. Arriving at hotels after the restaurant closes or missing the ferry when distances aren't quite what they first seemed, doesn't go down too well with the co-pilot! I have now completed several of The Driving Tour itineraries. Absolutely brilliant. The hotels have been first rate with most having secure parking, the roads spectacular and we have really enjoyed the superb hidden food stops. Expert guidance such as this makes these trips truly memorable for the right reasons.

The guide is attractively presented and full of useful information however I found that the real hotel prices were often much higher than indicated in the guide and that the suggested itinerary crammed too much into the time available. The hotels rarely had sufficient parking and choosing hotels outwith cities might have been more appropriate.
