We have recently visited the Bug Parc, what an incredible place. Both my daughters 8&5 had a cracking day. Plenty to learn about and see, along with a good activity sheet to do whilst walking around.

We particularly liked the butterfly enclosure. We could have spent ages in there looking at the array of butterflies and caterpillars.

We also booked the bug encounter which was great fun. My girls loved the hands on ability to hold and explore.

The Bug Parc has so much potential for more activities and it definitely looks like they are doing just that.

100% will be returning.

Overall the place is lovely, we did expect a lot more for the price and was slightly disappointed that it wasn't as it seemed, despite that what is there is lovely, the butterfly enclosure is relaxing and beautiful, the play park area is also very well done and the kids loved it more then the bugs 🫢

It does look like there is some development going on so hopefully we will come again with more things to see and do!

They have a trail with stamps on for the kids (adults can too)

The cafe is amazing; lots of food choices we had the pulled brisket baguette and it was delicious! Highly recommend the cafe!

What an absolute hidden gem! I took my ant and bug obsessed son here on Thursday, we stayed for 5 hours and loved every single minute! The leaf cutter ants were absolutely fascinating! The animal handling experience was excellent, definitely recommend adding that to your booking. Pond dipping and butterfly house were fab too!
We’ll be back that’s for sure!

Celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday at the Bug Parc and couldn't give higher praise! From the warm welcome to the informative bug handling, they were super-helpful from beginning to end! The facilities were clean and tidy and the food was amazing! My daughter and all the guests had a blast! The butterfly enclosure transported all who entered to a magical place that felt long forgotten!

An absolutely amazing place for anyone interested in bugs. My kids loved the nocturnal house (complete with UV light to see the fluorescing scorpions) and the amazing stick insects and leaf cutter ants. Grandma was a big fan of the butterfly house! There’s also a playground and brilliant cafe which serves high quality food. At the moment it’s not a big place but we easily managed to fill 4 hours 🙂 I understand there are plans to expand over the coming years so we’ll look forward to visiting again next time we’re in the area to see what has changed! We did the animal handling session and the staff were very knowledgeable and didn’t talk down to the kids which was lovely. Would recommend to any family interested in bugs though if you have family members who dislike spiders etc, pick which houses to go into. We found plenty of opportunities for those fascinated with bugs and those less so.

Visited today, absolutely fascinating. The butterfly house was beautiful. The leaf cutter ants were fascinating and really enjoyed the talk about their life cycle. Everything here was well looked after and well displayed, and a really broad selection of bugs to see, some tiny and others huge. Well worth a visit, I want with my partner but kids would love it and there's plenty of play equipment too.

My wife & I took our Granddaughter for our first visit to The Bug Parc and we weren't disappointed! We made a beeline for the butterfly house and we were all stunned by how beautiful they were, especially the massive Blue Morpho's which fluttered by in a way that seemed almost unreal. After a brief play in the sand pit, we headed over to the other areas and, once again, we were stunned at the variety on display (especially the ants). The staff were really helpful and informative and, on the whole, the place is well laid out and easy to navigate. We've 3 other grand children so I strongly suspect we'll be making a few more visits in the near future.

What a great place to visit with kids, not just the little ones but the big kids too. The bug rooms and the butterfly house are well looked after. There are so many bugs to see and so much to do. You can even book on to a handling experience, to hold some creepy crawlies and/or a pond dipping experience to look at all the bugs that live in ponds. The cafe offers a wide selection of local foods at a great price.
