The Norfolk Broads are wonderful and the BA on the whole do a good job of managing them, in particular individual members of staff are fantastic. 4*s instead of 5*s because they insist on calling The Broads a National Park... it's not.

Always about the money. Can’t see what else they do that’s beneficial to the river The river is full of dead fish . Over 200 bream dead on top on the last short trip I counted. I’m assuming from the raw sewage pumped straight into it, Then the environment agency want more money for a rod license . Neither are fit for purpose anymore

This bloated quango that fails to understand the history of the broads and it's historical place in the local communities should be disbanded.
They are implementing hard core environmental policies, behaving like the worst kind of eco warriors and completely disregarding the needs of people and businesses in this beautiful landscape.

Place was good. You need almost complete day if you need to cover places. Online booking is preferred as you might not get a boat on spot booking but can try luck if plan is not fixed. Time well spent in group and would be preferable to go with group of people to have a good chat and ride so that you can drive one by one since sometime it get boring to drive at a speed limit of 6mile per hour max and sometimes is can go low to 4-5 miles per hour

They try and intimidate people when they literally have zero powers. Crossing Breydon water on numerous occasions they come up beside you and shout aggressive advice. They're dangerous power mad individuals. I wish they'd of tried to criticize me to my face. They're absolutely laughable

Lovely area being ruined by Burgess, Packham and Smith. This quango are just trying to raise their property portfolio at the expense of the toll payer. Trying to keep the National Park lie alive, when it is well documented that the Broads will never be one, navigation before conservation! They have damaged my boat on numerous occasions ( I was always acting in accordance of the law ), in the end forcing me to sell my vessel and move to better run waters in Cambridge. These guys have broken laws themselves on many occasion, but are never held to account. They have even pretended they were the local council in one example. As for planning permission, wow! I have never needed to apply luckily, but I monitor many cases. Usually, landowners or businesses end up giving up or selling. On a positive note, Joel (sp?) who deals with tolls/tax is a nice chap, polite and honest which is a rare treat with the Broads Authority.
