Following a visit from Pete on 19/8 : it was great meeting him. We found his visit very useful and reassuring . He tested the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, giving us approximate expiry dates of each one. He installed a new carbon monoxide alarm in the appropriate location. He explained security checks for the house and our safety. He fitted a door chain and mirror tile on the front door. As I am deaf he is going to arrange for Adult UK to contact me to discuss having a sensory pad under my pillow overnight when I can’t wear hearing aids, to alert me if a smoke alarm is going off.
We are very grateful to The Blue Lamp Trust for this service.

I have just completed my driving assessment and PASSED with Blue Lamp Trust and i was very happy with my experience it was very safe and good driving test.

The examiner Mr Abid Mirza was very respectful kind and friendly person very experienced. I learned alot. I took onboard alot of advise i will be safe for future driving safely.

I recently completed my taxi assessment at the Blue Lamp Trust with Mr Ghazanfar Mahmood as my assessor, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Going into the assessment, I was very anxious despite all the practice I had done beforehand. However, Mr. Mahmood immediately put me at ease with his calm, professional, and reassuring manner.

He explained everything clearly, treated me with respect, and created an environment where I felt comfortable to demonstrate my driving skills. His supportive approach really helped me manage my nerves and focus on what I’d prepared. By the end, I felt not only relieved but also confident that my efforts had been recognised fairly.

A huge thank you to Mr. Mahmood and the Blue Lamp Trust for making what I expected to be a stressful experience such a positive and encouraging one.

I had a taxi assessment/test today with Blue Lamp Trust in order to obtain a private hire license for my local council, the test was very professional and thorough. Orfana the examiner was very knowledgeable whilst also being fair and she was very accommodating. I also got some very good advice for the minor faults I had made during the test, which I will be improving on immediately in order to better my driving. All in all, the blue lamp trust has been a very professional service from start to finish

I had my driving assessment on 24th June 2025 with Cheryl Collins and it was a fantastic experience. Cheryl was calm, professional, and really helped ease my nerves.
