Know to be one of the most haunted places in the UK, The Ancient Ram Inn is a must-stop for any fan of the paranormal.

Built on a Pagan site in the early 13th century, the Inn has a very dark background. With child sacrifices and the practice of Witchcraft, this is one location you want to investigate.

Ghost tours are available, both guided and self-guided and start from £10. You can access its website by scanning QR codes in the windows of the Inn.

Even though me and my partner didn't go in itself, we both experienced something. When you go up close to the building, your body temperature will start to drop extremely quickly and this causes the hairs on my arms to stand up the entire time. Another small encounter was while outside, we got the smell of smoke, we went on a warm day, and none of the locals had chimneys active, leading us to believe that it was coming from the Inn.

This is an amazing place.
We spent 6hrs here on the longest night of the year and the time just flew by.
18 of us all locked in from 9pm till 3am and the whole night was run by 2 organisers who did an amazing job of coordinating everything.
Only one complaint; We booked through the website which was easy, but we had no communication, I emailed, called, text & WhatsApp with some questions before the event but no answer to anything.
All in all a great night and nice to meet some cool people.
We would definitely recommend doing this.

Our Guide, Amy & Woody, were great!. They did an excellent job with the guests and their comfortability with communicating with spirits. For first timers, going on an overnight with them is the way to go. The experience was one of a kind since they took it seriously and were very respectful to the energies of The Ancient Ram Inn.

I saw a video recently on YouTube with a group going to this site and most of the video consisted of gasses released from one person and the rest laughing. You can be a skeptic and still be respectful of the process and this is what you can expect from Amy and Woody.

What an amazing experience here at the ancient ram inn for a ghost hunt. Much bigger place than I thought, lots to see in there, lots of spookiness. great atmosphere. Would go back again

Had a fantastic experience at the Ancient Ram Inn, arrived a total sceptic for a Haunting Nights event, and left a believer. Incredible. Photos included of something stood in front of me (distortion in photos) that moved towards the door.

This has some great historical stories and artifacts, we visited on an open day so it was full of volunteer historians that were great to meet, I will definitely return for a spooky ghost hunt evening, incredibly uneven floors and steps due to its age so bare this in mind when visiting. I didn't get many photos as I was too busy enjoying the tour!

Absolutely amazing night, we visited as a party and there were other visitors but the events people were amazing. The building itself is spooky on its own, but the history makes it worth it. Not alot happened to us personally, except in the witches room and attic. Will definitely be going again.
