My kids went with Scouts and had an amazing camping trip for 3 days over the weekend. They took part in Archery and Axe throwing and stayed in Tents, learning how to create a fire safely with qualified staff. There are toilets and showers for everyone to use. There is a river for swimming in and water sports, if its been organised. It's in the middle of the countryside, off the beaten track, in the middle of a wood, so there's lots of trees for kids to climb.

Tawd Vale is a wonderfully site. Friendly staff work this nicely developed site. The facilities whilst not world class are well maintain and easy to navigate as the site has clear signposts.
I recently visited the site for the first time in many years and was impressed by the improvements turning what was once a place I had been into a place I am now actively planning on return to

Came here a long time ago to do some team building stuff, before I even had kids....

Wow, this is an awesome place for cubs and scouts. Proper camping, in proper fields, not mowed to picture perfection and not levelled for a silent night, proper camping! Great friendly staff to assist at times of drop off etc. AWESOME ? my kids will definitely be wanting to come back here.

Fantastic scouting centre. Loads of activities and loads of mud! Been going here for many years with my kids and they all love it. Keep up the excellent work scouts.one day the road in May be perfect 😉

In the early 1950's I visited Tawd Vale with a friend, we were both members of the 7th Bolton Scout Group. We erroneously thought we could just turn up and camp. We had pitched our tent in a good spot and settled down to enjoy the weekend. We were soon visited by the site manager and invited to his office who soon pointed out our mistake. Unfortunately, myself and my companion had great difficulty in taking him seriously and had a terrible fit of giggles which was most disrespectful. As I am now in my 80's. I have often wondered what his thoughts were about these two ignorant nincompoops who had disgraced his campsite. Memories are made of this.
