Really disappointed with our experience at Tattershall Lakes. We’d heard a lot of hype and the pictures looked great, but sadly it didn’t live up to expectations at all. The food waiting times were absolutely horrendous — we waited over an hour for basic meals, despite there only being four other tables occupied. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again another day when there were just three tables, and unbelievably had another hour-plus wait.

To make it worse, most of the other food places on site were either closed or only serving a limited lunch menu — and apparently that's only available at weekends! The beer selection was poor as well, with barely anything decent on offer.

Honestly, please don’t fall for the hype. It looks amazing in photos, but the actual experience is slow, overpriced, and underwhelming. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere — there are far better options out there.

UPDATE: Sadly, customer service didn’t improve at all during the rest of our stay. To top it off, activities are ridiculously overpriced — £55 for just 15 minutes on a jet ski 😳. One positive though: we booked through The Sun holidays and paid around £100 for Monday to Friday (8 berth, 4 adults and a dog). If you do decide to give it a go, definitely avoid booking any other way as they were asking for much more. Don’t get caught out and overpay.

Upon arrival on the site they are very organised and it is simple to check in. There is a nice little shop on site, a bit expensive as you would imagine. Great outside park for the kids with lots to do. The arcade is extremely small so expect crowds. When we arrived to our Rockstar Lodge we were not impressed for several reasons. The curtains to the door were black with dirt. We had windows that would not stay open, WiFi that would not work, a sofa bed that was so dirty you would not let your dog sleep on it. Fixtures & fittings falling off, loads of weeds in the gardens. There was no patio furniture even though it is stated on the website. And to top it all off our dishwasher broke on the Sunday. We went to reception two days after as there had been no contact from anyone, to be told by a lady that we will not get it fixed and to get some washing up liquid. Although most issues are rectified quickly by maintenance you will get sick of reporting issues that should be done before you arrive. I would recommend you check the nearby airforce base's website or Facebook page as we had night time exercises with fighter jets 20 foot behind the lodge until 1.15am. This is not an exclusive lodge as they would like you to believe it is.

Took the Mrs and kids out for something to eat, fish and chips was really nice and for how busy the place was i was surprised we got our food in last a little over 30 minutes. Prices aren't too bad either. Around £50 to feed a family of 4 and each of us had a soft drink.

Booked the lodge itself through a third party, so won't review that here. Though it's location on Osprey lake was fine. We knew it was near the RAF base so we're pleased to see the takeoff and landings....||Overall, I cannot recommend the park for one simple reason. The cost to get into the entertainment complex where all the bars and activities are is ridiculous. £130 just to enter it...once in you pay for everything, all activities. Why not just make it free to get into the complex as the extortionate prices of everything else makes up for it for away resorts. We even paid £20 for the 9 hole putting and when finished was asked to return my scorecard pencil.... surely you can't be that hard up.||The park itself is massive and some of the lodges will be a long walk to the complex. We didn't mind as it was good exercise and nice to run round. The area itself is lovely, some good takeaways up the road to save on the sky high prices of the bars and food. £10 for a glass of prosecco, £9 for three defrosted chicken strips...£12 for four sheets of bingo...£60 for three people to go on the aqua park which doesn't even have a slide into the water, definitely not for grown up youngsters.....||All in all, some good aspects but not the value for money.

Breakfast in the restaurant was not much better than an ember Inn but it was OK.
Apart from the chef nearly having the little waitress in tears because we sent back the pancakes and bacon that he'd cooked to close on incineration!!

Now been waiting 4 weeks despite calls and emails to customer services to get back to me. Hot tub issues which could have been easily resolved, but no one seems to care. When it's good it's fine, when you need help they do not care

The first caravan we were put in was a 10 minute drive to the complex. We would never had fount it at night .so went to customer services they moved us straight away 2 minutes walk to complex. Caravan was lovely very clean plenty of towels. On the downside supposed to be dog friendly but the steps very high for dogs to get up .didn't eat in the spitfire bar as was like feeding time at the zoo. We had meals at tattershall pub 😋 very nice staff and very clean overall a very nice break. Ps people on about rats 🐀 never saw 1

Great park with plenty for the whole family to do, usually at an extra cost though but still having a great time. |We booked a luxury caravan with balcony and hot tub. The caravan is nice enough and comfortable for a weeks holiday. My only real gripe is the hot tub, it’s a cold tub really… it was cold when we arrived on Friday, I reported this on Saturday as it wasn’t heating, they came to refresh the chemicals on Saturday and I had to ask again for it to be refilled, they refilled it to lukewarm I asked again on Tuesday for it to be refilled, he’s been today Wednesday to refill it and it’s still just lukewarm. So my advice, don’t waste your money on the hot tube if you like your hot tub to be more than a couple of degrees above the current air temperature. |We will be back but I’ll save some money next time by not paying for a hot tub, money that we’ll use for some of the excellent activities in the site. |Other than that we’re having a great time here
