In one word, my experience was amazing! Brenda knows Scotland inside and out and has a lot of connections within the hospitality community. Working with her saved me so much trip-planning stress. I went to Scotland to celebrate my 40th, and I wanted to visit the Cairngorms reindeer herd specifically on my birthday. Brenda took care of everything. She drove me up there and made sure my birthday was a special one, even surprising me with a tram ride up to the top of the mountain. She helped me get a room with a bathtub one night, which is pretty hard to find, and had a great connection with a small B&B on the Isle of Skye, where I stayed for a few days. She also brought a ton of local and culinary knowledge, humor and fun to my experience. I definitely recommend Tasting Scotland if you're planning a trip there!

Miraculous taste of Scottish food, people, geology, history, nature, royalty, golf, woolen industry, and distilleries gave us an exceptional experience with Brenda. We experienced Scotland's geology, culture, history, Scotch industry, nature, national parks, castles, Hebrides, Balmoral, and many parts of Edinburgh's rich history. We have been on traveling vacations and never experienced the breadth or depth of knowledge of a country, places, nature, or people that Brenda brought to our trip. From family style pubs to castles to distilleries to many things off the beaten path that are not in the guidebooks, Brenda found it for us. Whether its golf, distilleries, the Caledonia canal, HMY Britannia, the castles, and hidden gem restaurants, Brenda knows where to find them! Brenda provides a taste of everything you can imagine in a custom itinerary that she changed to highlight things we were interested in as the trip progressed. Brenda is a brilliant, engaging, professional, delightful, responsive, flexible, articulate, supportive, competent, and a joy to travel with in her meticulously kept tour vehicle. While we planned a robust itinerary; as she got familiar with our interests, she was able to modify the itinerary to show us extraordinary and unique ideas, places, and adventures you won't find in a guide book. We experienced Scotland in such a unique way and highly recommend choosing Brenda as your guide to Scotland. What a marvelous trip thanks to Brenda!!!!

We had the pleasure of spending three glorious days touring Scotland with Brenda Anderson of Tasting Scotland. She is a FABULOUS tour guide. She was so much fun to be with. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional and organized. We gave her a general idea of our interests and she put together a fantastic itinerary of the Scottish Highlands. Her luxury motor coach was spotless, very comfortable & meticulously maintained.

We departed on day 1 from Edinburgh stopping along the way at two picturesque fishing villages in Anstruther. Next we visited St. Andrews, Blair Castle, Culloden Battlefield and the standing stones at Clava Cairns, with an overnight stay in Inverness.

Our 2nd day included breathtakingly beautiful rides through the Highlands. We saw Heilan Coos (Highland Cows), Loch Ness, Eilean Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye, which was spectacular. On the Isle of Skye we visited the town of Portree, Kilt Rock, Trotternish, a Faerie Glen and enjoyed magnificent views of the “Old Man of Skye” before returning to Inverness.

Day 3 included stops at Fort William, the Inverlochy Castle ruins, and Glencoe (in all of its gloriously green splendor!) We drove through Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. We then stopped and toured Stirling Castle and passed the Kelpies in Falkirk on our way back to Edinburgh.

It was truly the trip of a lifetime and Brenda expertly shared wonderful stories of fact, folklore and history throughout our entire adventure. For anyone looking to book an unforgettable trip to Scotland, do not hesitate to book your trip with Brenda. Brenda is worth every penny in gold and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Brenda was such a great guide for our adventure. We requested a custom trip to find a castle and chapel with ties to our family, and she was fully on board. Despite having never been to these places, Brenda did lots of homework to provide us with an amazing experience.

Along the way she knew all the right spots to stop for photos, sightseeing, and a taste of local culture. We had such a fun and exciting day exploring the countryside and finding artifacts from our family more than 700 years old. And having Brenda as our guide, who seemed to be enjoying the experience as much as us, made the day more enjoyable. We were able to relax and really soak it all in knowing we were in good hands.

I’d highly recommend Brenda and Tasting Scotland for your next trip. Her historical knowledge, along with great info on Scotch and local cuisine, made for a very special day for my family.

She knew what shops to stop at for treats and local crafts as well where to stop to take the best photos. Would highly recommend connecting with Brenda for your next trip.
