Ordered a Tap A Taxi 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE, to collect me from my home at 7.15am and take me to the train station to catch a train at 7.45. The taxi hadn't arrived by 7.25am so I rang Carlisle Taxis who promptly sent a taxi to me. It was 7.30am when I left in the Carlisle Taxi and the Tap A Taxi still hadn't turned up. I just got to my train by the skin of my teeth and I wouldn't have made it at all if it wasn't for the promptness of Carlisle Taxis. I have deleted my Tap A Taxi app in absolute disgust.

Do not use! Booked a day in advance for a taxi to take us to our wedding and bring us back, both journey accepted only for them to cancel 36 minutes before on the app without even a phone call. Absolute scum company. Fortunately we found a lovely taxi company who did assist us at last minute and got us to our wedding on time. Will never ever use tap a taxi again and would advise people to stay well clear of them!

Totally recommend. I've been using these guys since the beginning. The app is fab and easy to use. I work lates and always schedule my taxi to pick me up. They arrive early sometimes but they wait. If they are going to be late some of the drivers will call or Russell. He's always very helpful. Working in a hotel i always recommend this service to my guests. The drivers are always very friendly. Highly recommend

Ordered a taxi on Saturday lunch time for the night ( 11pm) was accepted by driver, didn't turn up, when rang up was told it would be half an hour. Won't be using the app again, waste of time

Great app and super easy to use! Taxi arrived in less than 10 minutes. Really friendly driver and couldn’t fault the company! Will only book taxis through tap a taxi in the future.

Very hit-or-miss. I’ve booked several times, always a day or two ahead and the bookings were all confirmed by the app, with a driver assigned. One time the taxi arrived as scheduled, but all others I received a notification that my taxi had been cancelled and no driver was available - usually only an hour (or less) before it was scheduled to arrive.

More annoying than it’s worth and very unreliable.
