I recently had the pleasure of taking a guided geological tour of Arbroath's stunning shoreline. Our guide masterfully blended the history of Arbroath with the geological formations, making the experience both scientifically and historically educational. Our guide also shared her personal anecdotes about growing up in Arbroath and her memories of fearlessly playing on the cliffs. Her stories added a heartfelt touch. The tour included a delightful picnic, served amidst the breathtaking scenery. It was a lovely way to relax, reflect and enjoy the moment.

Overall, I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Arbroath who wants to delve in its unique geology and history, all while enjoying warm hospitality and amazing views. I've walked the beach path on previous visits to Arbroath, but this was by far my most memorable hike.

Stories of Stone was a wonderful experience, Morag was a friendly, dynamic guide with a great insight of the local area and the history of the land. She did a fantastic job of describing the geology of the land to us beginners and was so mindful of dietary and accessibility requirements which meant a lot!
Not only is this a brilliant tour with great info, this walk has gorgeous coastal views (that we know understand the geology of!) with a guide who also recommended extra local sights for us to experience, can’t recommend this enough!

I have done a walk with Morag from Stories of Stone. I never realised how fascinating geology is! I really enjoyed her stories about Angus, rocks and history or the world. Morag is one of those people who makes science interesting and opens your eyes to wonders that are right in front of you. Also if you are a fan of Outlanders Jamie Frazer you wont be disapointed.
I would recommend this trip to anyone. You don't have to be crazy about geology...o and there is teacake and warm coffee included:)

I had the most brilliant experience on a guided walk with Morag (Stories and Stone). Her passion for, and deep knowledge of, geology combined with her lifelong experience of the Angus coastline, really brought out the life in the cliffs. Intertwining geology, history, and personal anecdote, Morag carried us along the coastal path in what felt like a matter of moments, but two hours had passed. I’d highly recommend that anyone visiting Arbroath or the surrounding area join Morag on a walk - it will help you to appreciate this beautiful stretch of coastline on a much deeper level.

Excellent tour of the cliffs. Morag explained the geological features so easily and gave a good talk about the human stories surrounding the cliffs. I’d highly recommend this tour
