Amazing place! We took the 5:30 AM tour for the sunrise experience and didn't disappoint. The visitor center is very nice and clean and staff was very polite and helpful. The guides were very friendly. The whole experience at the stones was beautiful and seen the sunrise thru the stones was incredible! A must visit place while in England.

Such an awesome historical site! Bring comfortable walking shoes. Very interesting to learn about how and why this was built. Highly recommend, but go in the off season to avoid the crowds.

It truly is a magical place. We made the trip from London and it was worth it. The walk from the visitor center to Stonehenge is about 20-30 minutes (there's also a bus) in beautiful fields. Stonehenge is just amazing. So unique. I loved it.

Magical place to visit. Almost a must see is you are in the area. It is quite busy in the summer but the flow of visitors is directed clockwise by the staff and tat works quite well. There are plenty of moments that you can take pictures without too many visitors blocking the view.
Busses run continuously from the visitor center to the actual site. Alternatively you can walk the 2,5 km in about 30 minutes.

Stonehenge is one of those iconic places that you’ve seen in countless photos, documentaries, and history books—so naturally, expectations are high. When I finally visited, I must admit it wasn’t quite as massive as I had imagined. The stones are certainly impressive, but if you’re expecting something towering and overwhelming, it may feel more modest in scale.

That said, it’s still a fantastic spot for photography. The setting is atmospheric, especially with the right lighting. The layout and surrounding landscape provide excellent angles for capturing moody, ancient vibes, and the site is incredibly photogenic from multiple viewpoints.

The real surprise, however, was the marketing and visitor experience. The exhibition before you reach the stones is well-curated, engaging, and informative. It does a great job of contextualizing the site—both historically and culturally. Whether you’re into archaeology or just want an interactive experience, it’s worth spending time there.

And don’t skip the gift shop—it’s genuinely amazing. There’s a great mix of educational merchandise, quirky souvenirs, and fun, locally themed items. I couldn’t resist picking up the “sheep droppings” chocolate—surprisingly delicious and hilarious as a gift!

Overall, Stonehenge is worth the visit. Not monumental in size, but rich in charm, story, and very Instagrammable moments.

Such a great visit, loved all the information and obviously seeing the stones themselves. Infrastructure also great and it was excellent to be able to walk through the fields to get there and see other ancient sites (there's also a shuttle).

We also got great weather and so had ice cream and saw lots of lambs. Overall a great day out!

Plenty of parking, you pay using an app which was easy. Had a bit of a queue to get in despite booking ahead online. The queue for pre booked was bigger than the non booked line! People, including us, did get called into a side room to help the queue go down. Explored the exhibits indoors and then outdoors. Wasn't much waiting for any of these. Waited a tiny bit for the bus up to Stonehenge. There's about 5 buses and they are constantly going back and for and fit around 40 - 50 people on. Walked the short distance to Stonehenge, the path is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Was close enough to admire the stones and didn't have any trouble getting decent photos. Caught the bus back and went to the shop. This is where it was most busy but the staff were non stop serving making sure everything was smooth sailing. Was a brilliant time here we loved it!
