We had a fab experience on the tour with David. He was full of entertaining tales and had a comedic way of telling spooky tales. We took our 2 kids, aged 5 and 8 and our 8 year old was well immersed in the stories, whereas our 5 year old became a little clingy, but still braved the journey holding onto me closely. None the less it was still a fantastic thing to do while we were visiting Stirling. David the tour guide, who is dressed as a Hangman, who choked to death on a chicken bone, looks amazing in his costume and with his props. The sites are amazing to explore and the dark of night makes it extra spookily entertaining. The tour can be tweaked for people with disabilities, but we didn't give David prior knowledge to our arrival and booked the tour with David on the spot last minute, so because I had a mobility scooter David considered the best route to take, but I was adamant that I was fine to walk around the route that David had already planned. David checked that I was okay at keeping up with my walking stick as halfway through the tour I parked my scooter and went through the graveyard on foot. He made an effort to make sure I was okay throughout. Despite staying in character he still focused on peoples safety on uneven ground. What a great experience, we would definitely recommend it. A huge thank you to David. We met him first as the Hangman and then again 2 days later in the Old Jail where he took us on another thrilling journey, this time through the history of the jail. He's brilliant at what he does, you're sure to enjoy the experience 😊 we certainly did!

Absolutely brilliant. You can really tell he enjoys doing this and puts on a good show for the group. He interacts and gets the group laughing. We joined on last minute as a last minute decision and the booking system wouldn't work and he said we could still join and come pay tomorrow.

Thank you for a great time 🙂 would definitely recommend doing this if your staying in stirling.

Did the Ghost walk on Fri 31 Jan with The Hangman- really enjoyed the experience and David is quite a story teller. The freezing cold night and mist rolling down over the castle just added to the experience. Loved the story about John Knox. Thanks again for a really great tour- Captain Quiffy and the wife

Brilliant Ghost Walk. Thank you to David. There were only 5 of us in total but he was brilliant, great actor right from the moment he appeared next to me as I was the first one there. Tbh I thought where the hell did he appear from! The weather wasn't in our favour especially to the last 20 minutes. We were soaked. I would recommend this ghost walk 100%.

Absolutely brilliant! Thanks David for an excellent night-even in the pouring rain!
We loved how you stayed in character the whole time and how you made Shannon, Bernard! The ghost walk was a birthday treat for her so it was perfect that she was picked. We are keen to hear more tales and would love to check out the jail too. Next time!

Easily one of the top things to do in stirling. the “happy hangman” showed us around the old town, telling us morbid and other ghostly stories while also havibg one of the best senses of humour i’ve ever seen. thank you for the experience!

Omg. What an unforgettable experience! David Kinnaird came completely in costume as the "Happy Hangman" and took a large group of us on a fascinating walk around Stirling Castle and the cemetery. He never once broke character and held our attention the whole time. His humour and quick wit combined with his presentation and control of his craft was a visual treat.
