Carol is a native Scottish native from Glasgow. It's evident in more than just her dialect. The B&B exudes Scottish hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail. The bed is a dream, the room super cozy, and the bathroom wonderfully tidy. Parking is available in front of the house, and Carol will fulfill your every wish at breakfast. She also provides tons of tips on the surrounding area and restaurants. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night—we would have loved to stay longer.

I stayed at Stepping Stones for two nights meeting family in the area. I will probably stay there again. This is a lovely little homely B&B. Carol and Alan run it very efficiently but in a relaxed way which is just right for the guest. Everything has been well thought out. If you are driving and exploring the area it is well placed for all the main areas in and around Lymington and the beach - they are reasonably priced and they do a great cooked breakfast. It's ideal !!!!

Carol & Alan are lovely hosts. Very friendly welcome and the bedroom is a charming, calm and relaxing space. Very clean and well-designed. Breakfast was wonderful with home-made sourdough bread, home-made bacon and sausages, delicious pastries and local honey. Very highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Stepping Stones. The room was lovely and comfortable room with a huge bed, a smart TV, fridge and delicious home made cake left for us on a daily basis. Breakfast was a cut above with local products used where possible and home made breads and pastries served daily. The hosts were extremely welcoming, concerned that we had what we wanted making sure we had every comfort. Carol was also really helpful advising us on places to eat and visit. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

We visited Carol and Alan to do the introduction to sourdough course, the two of us were complete novices but were immediately made to feel at ease. Alan is very knowledgeable in the subject and is able to pass this on in a clear, concise way whilst remaining patient. |Carol was a fantastic host and couldn’t do enough for us on our overnight stay. The home baked goods and treats were such a lovely touch. |Thank you for such a fabulous weekend, we will be recommending you to our family and friends.

So pleased to have found this gem! Alan & Carole were exceptional hosts and made us feel very welcome. Parking, no problem. Quiet location. Our room and ensuite were clean, comfortable and well equipped with TV, teas, coffee, spare toiletries and local information. Felt if we needed anything , just had to ask. Enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep in an extremely comfy bed. |Next morning, treated to an excellent breakfast followed by a sourdough bread making tutorial given by master baker Alan who really inspired us to have a go when we got home. Really sad to leave! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

What a lovely B&B! We were treated so well. The room was exceptional and breakfast each day was outstanding! It is very close to the coast and located right inside the New Forest National Park. I can't recommend it enough!

One of the best experiences we've had in respect of a B&B. 5* for cleanliness, service, breakfasts, facilities & home made breads & cakes. The hosts were amazing & we received 5* treatment. We spent 3 nights here & would definitely come back again. Good size room & shower & a large comfortable bed with plenty of cupboard space. Can't praise this place enough. Amazing trails to go for walks in the new forest as well as coastal drives & walks. Fabulous restaurants with some fine dining & great pubs too & a lovely Saturday Market. An all round Great experience!
