I recently used Stena Line for my journey from Glasgow to Belfast, and I was thoroughly impressed. The entire process—from booking to boarding—was smooth and well-organized. The connection from Glasgow via train to Cairnryan, followed by the ferry to Belfast, was seamless and stress-free.

The ferry itself was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. There were plenty of seating areas, food and drink options, and even quiet zones for those who want to relax. The staff were friendly and professional throughout the journey.

Compared to flying, Stena Line offers a far more relaxed and scenic experience, with no airport hassle or baggage stress. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable way to commute between Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Smooth, fast and well organised sailing between Scotland and Ireland. Lots of places to sit and the food and drink options were excellent. Kids area too, as well as cinema showing family film.

I travelled on 3rd June 2025 from Cairnryan, a village in southwestern Scotland to Belfast.

These are large, modern ferries that offer a range of amenities, including:
Restaurants and cafes, Shopping, Free movies, A "Pure Nordic Spa" on some vessels, Lounge areas for relaxing.

Both vehicles and foot passengers are welcome on the ferries.

It was a wonderful experience.

Stena Line at Cairnryan is a smooth and well-organized ferry terminal. 🚢✨ The check-in process was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a small café and seating area while you wait, but not much else around the terminal itself. ☕🪑 Boarding was easy, and the ferry was comfortable with plenty of seating, a shop, and food options. 🍽️ One thing to note is that public transport options to the terminal are limited, so plan ahead! 🚌🚗 Overall, a good experience for traveling to Northern Ireland.

Hassle free, friendly staff and well kitted out ship. Our group of 6 adults was able to sit together comfortably which was great, but seeing the facilities onboard, I would definitely travel with my family. The on-board cinema, games and playroom were great for the parents with small kids, being able to keep them entertained, it was fantastic.

I had a great experience traveling with Stena Line ferry in Cairnryan. The ferry was very clean, including the restrooms, which is always a big plus. With 10 decks, the first five dedicated to parking, it’s spacious and well-organized.

One of the highlights was the spa on Deck 10—perfect for relaxing during the journey. The lounges and restaurants on Decks 7 and 8 offered good food and a comfortable place to unwind.

The only downside was the WiFi, which only allows access to WhatsApp, so no TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube. It would be great if they expanded access in the future.

Overall, a smooth and pleasant journey with excellent facilities. Would definitely recommend!
