It is about an hour away from London and has a large duty free market and cheap flights as well.

Never went to an airport where you can't go back and forth within gates to be honest, we saw the internal transfer train and wanted to move to the gates even though it was not indicated which number yet. Once we got out of the train we found out that we could not get the train back.. I had to ask security to Escort us back. It wasn't clearly stated otherwise we would have never stepped on it. Other than that, it's an airport/shopping mall. Alcool and purfums Shops are on every conner.

24/7 National Express Coach Buses may take you to central London to Victoria, Paddington station or Liverpool Street via Goldens Green. You can go to other places as well. Just visit national express website. Recommended. There is toilet facilities on the Station just 20 metres away from the bus stops. Tickets office open from 6 am till very late daily. Nero Coffee shop open 24/7 the same like waiting room next to.

A well laid out coach station with the usual facilities and very close to the airport entrance, next to the Orange car park!

It's a bit exposed to the elements though so wrap up warm during the winter
