That's the best way to visit an amazing town like Stamford. We arranged this walking tour with Ruth and I am pleased we did it. They're local. They know where to take you, what to show you. I save a lot of time and find out a lot of information about the history of the town. I do recommend them!

Ruth was a delight! We called last minute and she was kind enough to accommodate our schedule. We learned so much about this beautiful location and all the interesting things that have happened in Stamford. It is evident Ruth loves Stamford and that only added to our enjoyment. She recommended great restaurants and spots to get a snack and drink after our time with her. Ruth also inquired about our interests, and immediately tailored our tour to us. We had a great time ... it was like hanging out with an interesting and intelligent friend with a great sense of humor! Do book ... you'll get such a greater appreciation for Stamford, it's history, the local lore, and all the films that have been made there!

Ruth was really excellent. Knowledgeable, warm, friendly and showed us lots of hidden gems and historical nuggets of Stamford we would otherwise have missed bumbling around on our own. Highly recommend this walking tour; if only all cool British town tours were like this. Well worth the price. Ruth volunteers as a guide at Burghley House too so if the timing is right you’ll have a double winner with her!

I have always been fascinated by Stamford architecture, and history. This walking tour by Ruth and Rachel does not disappoint to find out who, what, and when Stamford has become a great place to explore. Shown areas that I never knew existed until the day of doing worthwhile Sights and Secrets walk.
