Despite the negative one-star reviews, I had a completely different experience. I placed my order online and within a minute, I received a confirmation email. When I arrived at the store, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly hello. I showed my receipt and was immediately handed my item. The ordering process was easy, and so was the pickup process. Overall, I had a great experience and would rate it five stars.

I have just had the worst experience in this Argos store. I went into the store to try and return a Nintendo switch which I purchased for a family member not realising they already had one.
Upon entering the store Kim met us with no smile and a stern word.
Upon opening the product box to inspect the switch accidentally fell out the box which caused it to become scratched.
Kim then went to check with her supervisor whether it could be returned (she did not tell her supervisor she dropped the product face first).
She came back and I made her aware that the product was not used and that she had just dropped this, she said she had not and went to get the supervisor.
The supervisor then came to “discuss” with me and my partner. She said that Kim would not lie as she has worked at Argos for a long time. After 5 minutes of arguing my partner asked the supervisor if the cameras were recording, they confirmed they were and that Sainsbury’s could access them.
We went downstairs to find the store manager, he was a pleasant man who agreed to check the cameras.
He came back around 10 minutes later and told us that he had seen the footage, that the product was dropped by the Argos employee and that the supervisor will grant my refund when I go back up. So after all that it turns out I wasn’t a liar which I was accused of being.
I then went up to find the supervisor, no apology from them.
My partner and I have been left very upset , never in our lives has this happened to us and we are shocked. I have had an Argos store card for years… this May change after my experience today.

Tried to return a faulty shower head to Manager “Jo”.
She is the rudest, most condescending staff member I have ever encountered in a Customer Service related position.
Totally unprofessional and extremely rude.
She totally ignored what we were saying and refused to even listen to us.
Been using ARGOS for 40 years or more and feel uncomfortable using the Stamford branch again.

The whole point of
purchasing from this store specifically was that it was on my route as i travelled south to work, and the website said I could collect from 10 am onwards on a Sunday, so i ordered online, paid etc, and I arrived the following morning at 10:20 expecting to be able to collect my item that I needed for work, and was told that it hasn't arrived yet, very disappointed! Some might say I'm being overly picky, and that maybe it had arrived and just hadn't been unpacked yet, no. Believe me, i checked. It hadn't arrived, and wasn't due to for quite a while. Seems to be quite a disjoint from what the website promises and what they can deliver

One of the rudest most condescending employees I have ever dealt with. Trying to explain to him the product was not fit for purpose (which head office have since agreed with) his response was "you can take it home and keep it". Terrible. Thank you to the Bourne store and head office for sorting.

I went to the fast track counter to pick up my fitbit and there was a customer standing in front of it. 20 minutes later she was still there. Eventually she moved and one of the staff noticed me waiting there and got my item. Not the experience I was hoping for and not a lot of point in doing the fast track.

What has happened to Argos customer service training . Do not buy from this branch have used argos for 30 years without any issue but how things have changed.
