India has always been a bucket list destination for us, but we found it difficult to navigate the country and all the sights we wanted to see in a coherent plan, but thankfully, Sian’s in-depth knowledge and first-hand experience of the country proved to be invaluable. She took the time to get to know us, our interests, and concerns, to create a truly bespoke adventure where we felt in safe hands from beginning to end.

As a gay couple travelling to India, we were worried about how hotels, drivers, and guides would react to us as we explored the country, but I can safely say that we were welcomed with open arms by the country and its people, and never before have I been able to say that with such confidence.

While travelling, we felt completely at ease knowing that Sian and her team were following us on our journey and making sure our trip ran smoothly – which in India is a blessing! We can’t thank Sian enough for this amazing experience and look forward to future expeditions to this incredible country.

Sian of South Asia Uncovered arranged a trip to Southern Sri Lanka for me and my daughter. We stayed in lovely boutique hotels and had a great driver/guide. Sian gave much thought to our itinerary so we were busy but had time scheduled to relax and enjoy our surroundings too. We had a wonderful time. Infact, I have already booked another trip with Sian for later this year.

I joined a group tour to Mumbai and Gujarat with Sian recently and I have to say it was the best organised tour I have ever been on.
Adjustments in timetables, itineraries, are dealt with seamlessly, keeping everyone in the group happy.
The strength of this tour is in it’s immersive nature, visiting small, out of the way communities that normally would be very difficult to access.Sian has a very good rapport with all these groups so one feels privileged having these wonderful experiences. Sian has also chosen fantastic local guides that join the group which gives the tour an extra dimension.

I joined Siân and her team for a small group textile tour of Gujarat. Siân’s attention to detail was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. This was most certainly an immersive experience, which one is unlikely to have on a run of the mill India visit. Anyone remotely interested in textiles would love this tour and I am looking forward to booking another soon.

I feel very fortunate to have been a guest on South Asia Uncovered's most recent group tour to Mumbai & Gujarat. Sian & Tuhina had organised a unique experience for us to visit textiles artists and communities which we could never of seen without their contacts. Hello! My time with the group and our tour guides, Sian, Tahina, and Pravim, was delightful. Sian's contagious love for India, Tahina's wealth of knowledge about the country, and Pravim's insights as our local guide made the journey unforgettable. The trip was meticulously planned, offering incredible encounters, spontaneity, vibrant colors, diverse cuisines, and a fascinating discovery of India's rich textile treasures.

My husband and I have just come back from our trip to India, organised by Sian at South Asia Uncovered, and it has been such an amazing experience.

In the beginning we spoke with Sian and we advised her of what it is we wanted out of the trip e.g. Indian culture, a bit of relaxation, fun! Due to Sian's very extensive knowledge of India, she put together a very well thought out itinerary which exceeded our expectations.

Sian provided us with tour guides within each city who were friendly, and very knowledgable of the local areas and India as a whole. The accommodation she organised were some of the nicest places I've stayed in. Our driver, Sanjay, who we had for most of our trip, was super friendly, and he ensured that we were comfortable during a couple of our longer drives between cities. It is well known that the roads in India are chaotic, but we felt very safe with Sanjay. A few other excursions Sian had organised for us during our trip was a cooking class, a visit to the Taj Mahal during sunrise, a local village tour in Ramathra, experiencing Holi in Jaipur, a visit to the Amber Fort & the Arti in Rishikesh.

We will definitely be using South Asia Uncovered again. Highly recommend.
