We stayed at Villa Papito in Polencia. The villa was absolutely perfect, we arrived late a night and was able to access the villa easily with the instructions given. We found the villa very comfortable and felt like a home for the week! The villa was spotless, pool and gardens were stunning!

We were left a lovely welcome note from the Solmar team also.

We would recommend hiring a car, but we decided to use taxis, which is only a short ride to the beach or to the beautiful old town of Polencia. An aldi also just a car run up the road for all the essentials!

Can't wait to return again!

Brilliant. Hired a villa in La Manga Club in June 2024 with family. The villa was excellent, well equipped and cleaners would visit. The commutation was on point and the staff were professional and welcoming. Brilliant service.

BEWARE! What you pay for is not what you will recieve.

We were a returning customer who paid for 3 weeks in Villa Agni Stephania in Corfu. We arrived to find a very active and incredibly noisy building site right next to our very old and disheveled villa, bearing little or no resembelance to the pictures listed on Solmars web site.

A dirty swimming pool with a yellow scum line and greasy film awaited us, dangerous and broken tiles, light switches and even lightbulbs missing, mosquito screens missing, odd mismatched furniture, birds nesting on the patio, and no care or maintainence had been done in the past few years, the villa was clearly a sublease from another villa company, Ionian Villa Holidays perhaps as their branding hasd been badly covered or scratched off posts and notices.

Twice we were woken by an alarm in the middle of the night, reported to the rep who told us there was actually no alarm, how odd we all jumped out of bed at exactly the same time on 2 different occassions.

We obviously brought our concerns to the Rep who continuously told us the pool was very clean and the villa was maintained.

She could not however argue about the noisy building site and quarry lorries removing rubble and breaking rocks. Solmar were un apologetic about the build and could only find us an alternate much smaller villa in a poor location for one week as opposed to the two remaining of our holiday after a week of initial battles with builders, the owner herself and Solmar. Their initial suggestion was that we take a partial refund and disappear off into Corfu in high season and fend for ourselves. If an established villa company could not find a suitable alternative, for 2 weeks then our search would have been eaqually fruitless. We tried to stay but the noise, and dust was was untenable, our 6 year old was coughing and asking why it was so noisy. We decided to quit after 2 weeks.

We informed Solmar that we would like a refund of our money for the 9 days and their reply was.
"you are not getting a penny, take it to ABTA. if you arent happy"
So that is what we shall do....
Awesome work from Solmar who have made a once satisfied returning customer very unhappy with their shabby treatment of us.

I would not book with them again.
We stayed at Villa Inspire in Cyprus and the location was dreadful: on the corner of a busy road, with low level fencing for privacy. The neighbours next door and opposite were running some sort of dodgy car business. There were a lot of them, and there was noise from the cars, and shouting and fighting on and off at all hours.
Inside the villa was nice enough. The safe was minute and no instructions were given for use. Trying to contact Solmar was difficult. Nobody answered the phone and if you left a message, they responded that they were very busy and would get back to you within 4 to 7 days!
Welcome pack was very poor value for money compared with other companies we’ve stayed with. Pool area not maintained very well.
We had booked a transfer back to the airport, but had to contact them to ask what time we were being picked up. They had booked the pick up for 10am which was way too early and said that if we wanted to change the time we had to phone the company and do it ourselves.
No flexibility on staying in the villa after 10am, so we ended up sitting outside the villa to wait for our taxi. The cleaners told us the villa was not booked for the following week, so we could easily have been allowed some extra time before our taxi came. We would have been happy to pay extra for this, but no discussion about it possible. Dreadful company to communicate with once you are in resort.

Lovely villa , I know the hill up to the villa is very steep only went it in the hire car and not walked up it , but the view is brilliant. Used to sit outside every morning eating breakfast looking at the view.
The only negative I had was the pool rail was lose and there was a big first steep to get in to the pool( I am waiting for a knee operation so it was a struggle to get in the pool, but rest of the family ok).

Have booked with Solmar Villas twice now and both times have been amazing! Attentive reps - nothing too much trouble - and wonderful villas which have everything we needed to have a fabulous, stress free trip. Can’t wait to book again!

Villa Faroles 36 Calle Suiza La Carabella Residencial, Playa Blanca.

I'd searched reviews for this villa but there was none! First time we've used Solmar.

-Alarm set when we arrived with no forewarning nor any instructions. It frightened us as was unexpected. Then Solmar said alarm not for clients use, yet the very next day, someone had been in and set the alarm, whilst we were out!!!

-Blind above kitchen sink is disgusting. Dirty and stained. No cords on it to open or close.

-The living room floor was dirty when we arrived.

-The pool cues have no tips on so couldn't use it.

-The ensuite bath has black mould on silicone.

-There are no clothes hangers in wardrobes.

-No instructions how to use satellite box. Think its set to access mainly German channels.

-The pool was cold!!
Really spoilt our holiday as its so uncomfortable. Kept cover on it too.

Contacted Solmar via WhatsApp and email as soon as we arrived to inform them of the issues.

We saw one man who came out 5 days after we arrived to check pool temperature. He put his hand in and said "bien". I replied "no its cold". He said its reading 19c and shrugged his shoulders and left.

No one came to the villa to address the other issues. What kind of villa has no clothes hangers!!

No net or cleaning utensils for pool. It was dirty and unable to clean leaves and insects out. No one came to clean it the whole week we we there.

-No hand towels.

-curtains really thin and no blinds so easily woken in a morning. Could do with black out blinds in bedrooms and patio doors as very light and bright.

The villa is lacking in good maintenance and is run down.

Positive points are, the location is very quiet. Not private particularly though, as the wall is low on one side so neighbours can see right in.

-The air conditioning works well. As does dishwasher and washer.

First experience of this firm. Booked a villa with them in 2024 cancelled on me this year saying villa owner gone to a competitor! not been able to offer suitable alternatives, villa booked for a family occasion, no real concern or urgency from them how we resolve the situation, several phone calls and told operators busy!
