My son was on the way to college interview when bus that runs 1 bus an hour didn't turn up. I have called Smart Cabs after quick google search and they have send a car within few minutes with notes that child is minor. The driver was great and my son felt safe throughout the journey. Same happened on the way back, it was rush hour and my son's phone was running out of battery, i was receiving texts both times with car colour and reg number and a map with live tracking of the car, it took 10minutes for car to arrive due to rush hour, 1% phone battery remaining so just managed to let my son know what car to look for. Was able to see the entire journey back and knew he was home. On top of that, i have pre paid the travel and both travels were cheaper than pre payment and they have only charged me the actual readings. Amazing and reliable service. Definitely will be using again in the future. Thank you!

Just had wonderful service using Smart Cabs. From Edinburgh Airport to Grangemouth. Driver was great ( big guy called Joe).

My friend Jan has asked me to post this review for her as she does not have internet access. She booked a taxi on Thursday for the following day. The taxi was a little late but the traffic was appalling at the time. She said the driver was just lovely and the fare was reasonable. She loved that she received messages to her old mobile from Smart Cabs informing her of the taxi being dispatched. She even got tracking links but was not able to view them due to no internet access but was delighted they had been provided. She has often used Smart Cabs and says they are a delight to deal with - hence the 5 star review.

As someone who was an active user of smart cabs and the app, 2 trips at 5 in the morning to the airport at £37 each
Imagine my disappointment when I booked a taxi at 9 this morning to take me to train station to catch 1203 to haymarket to catch west coast service south, booked for 1145 to allow for any mishap, checked the app at 1141 and car hadn't been assigned ! On phoning them abruptly told be at least 10mins if I can get someone ! Advised to cancel and ended up walking and missing train with all the afters that brought .

So in summary, seem quite happy to commit to fare at £37 up front but not so keen at £5, not sure about the people in control but a taxi to a train station generally means there is a train to catch !

Will no longer be using, app and account both deleted.

Really disappointing service. Taxi was 20 minutes late and went to the wrong location despite my calling in advance to confirm the location. Customer service was also disappointing - the person was very abrupt and there was no apology for the delay. Taxi driver was pleasant, however. I missed my train as a result and would not recommend this company to anyone.

Straightforward booking over the phone, taxi arrived exactly when they were supposed to and the fare was very reasonable. I would recommend and book with them again next time i need a taxi.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Cancelled taxis the night before because they wouldn’t have enough drivers - after booking them a week in advance for a funeral and charging. Only reason they even checked this was because I called to double check everything was sorted the day before. No apologies or help to try and sort new transport.
