A really great experience from beginning to end. A real opportunity to experience how much the weather impacts on whether the flight goes ahead, through to how the balloon is set up, safety checks, take off then your up before you know it. The views are breathtaking. Tony and crew are knowledgeable, patient & hold safety at the forefront of the flight. I have to say I’ve been sad to read other reviews about flights being rescheduled due to weather, that’s one of the things we have no control over, so I feel these are unjustified. Personally, I think everyone should experience a hot air balloon flight in their lifetime. I would like to pass my heartfelt thanks to Tony & Sheralee and team for a wonderful time had.

Great experience definitely recommend Skybus ballooning for your flight experience. I have flown with Skybus on a couple of occasions now with different friends or family members and every time I’ve been the service has been second to none. We had a couple of occasion where we had to rebook cause of the bad weather ( unfortunately the British weather can’t be relied on) but we got there eventually and I must say we had a amazing flight. Definitely one of the best flights I’ve ever had. And will definitely be coming back again.

Disappointment again!
Booked a balloon ride over 2 YEARS ago, and after numerous re-bookings due to weather, we were due to fly today. The weather is PERFECT?!?! No wind, no cloud - but again, you call up, and there’s just a message saying there’s ‘a coastal breeze a bit later preventing us from flying’?
How perfect does the weather have to be?
Also - we paid full price for the flight, but it’s only valid for 12 months, even if you’re unable to fly because of weather conditions. They then charge you ANOTHER £140 to extend your flight voucher!! How is that legal to charge for a service, not provide it, and then re-charge again?
The whole thing was supposed to be a lovely experience, but once again we’re left disappointed, skint, and throughly let down - hopefully when we eventually get to go on the ride it’ll be worth the wait, if I’m not dead by then!

A wonderful experience and a much belated 40th bday for me, albeit late due to weather conditions not being favourable.

However, that is totally understandable. Think we rebooked 6 times altogether, throughout winter and summer. There were others on the day that hadn't had to rebook and were fortunate enough for the weather to be perfect!

For me, it's about the experience. That is a 5 all day long. The talks, discussions, and questions I had on ballooning were met with enthusiasm, and Tony was more than happy to discuss, and Ben was a blast too!
Also, to all the people we had on todays journey, you also all made it special. Memories forever!

Note and tips -
There isn't a requirement to assist with prepping the balloon or packing up. However, it makes it go quicker, fun to get involved, and learn how everything works for some fun stories.

You might need to rebook. It is more than likely that depending on weather conditions, just be patient and keep trying. Seeing the crew in action, I can understand why they can not answer the phone all the time or emails as they literally work around the clock!

Go for the early morning flight if possible for 6am. Better chance of flying.

All flights are down to weather conditions, and although it may look like a blinding day, TRUST ME! We learnt today, it may look perfect and calm, but about a ft in the air and you're blowing around 😉

Stay at the end for nibbles and bucks or champs. We were also delighted and honoured to have Cherie's special cake, which was god damn delicious!

I initially planned to book this for my best friend’s birthday, but after reading through the negative reviews, I’ve decided against it—not because of the complaints themselves, but because of how the company has responded to them. In one case, the response included a shocking disclosure of someone’s private medical information, mentioning that they had cancer. That is absolutely unacceptable.

I understand that businesses want to defend themselves against unfair criticism, but doing so at the cost of someone’s privacy and your own professional integrity is a serious red flag. It shows a lack of respect and judgment that I can’t overlook. Customer service is not just about the service itself but also how you treat people, especially when things go wrong.

We attempted quite a few times to fly but it happened Saturday 14th May and really was worth the wait. We flew from Hawkhurst and landed in Cranbrook. Such a surreal experience being up in the air looking down at the amazing views. Big thank you to Tony the Pilot

You'll never get to fly, no matter how many times you try and re-book. In the end I told them to call me any day/time that would get me and my partner a flight.... waited two years... still nothing. Total Scam! Avoid
