My wife and I have recently had new Wills, Power of Attorney and Estate Allocation Trust documents drawn up by Silvertime Legal. The service provided was very professional and thorough from the moment first contact was made until completion and the whole experience when using this company was made so much easier by the professional service they provided. I would have no hesitation in recommending Silvertime Legal to anyone who is thinking of either taking out new Wills or updating Wills, Power of Attorney and Trust documentation.

The initial visit was set up quickly and also the follow up to actually proceed. But then there was quite a delay before we got the draft copies which I will admit add silly mistakes like name being spelt wrong and the address. Once this was sent back I had to chase to get an appointment for the paper work to be signed (I did have to cancel one appointment due to a unforeseen stay in hospital)

We heard a presentation about Silvertime Legal and were very impressed. An appointment was made and Julie Smith came to visit us at home. She was right on time and gave us a run down of all the ins and outs of will making and powers of attorney. Highly professional in every respect. We signed up for Joint Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as Joint Tenancy and a Trust on the house. The documentation eventually arrived for signature with witnesses. One document, we had been told would require their solicitor, Asif to be present. There were no instructions with the documents at all and no Asif. Upon enquiry about this a somewhat curt response was received that it was not necessary with no explanation at all. The documents stated that he needed to be present so we were a bit mystified. However, all were signed and witnessed with subsequent acknowledgement from official sources that they had been received.

The company were very professional up to a point, I have one criticism, when the gentleman came to the house for the final signing of the Will with our witness in the room he asked for the payment and said how much it was costing. I was mortified and embarrassed no-way should he have put me in that position, it was personal information that should not have been discussed infront of our witness.

Although the initial engagement was quick and with a knowledgable professional, all the subsequent visits were with somebody who had no legal knowledge and they atook ages to happen.
The first draft of the documents were full of spelling and other grammatical errors, really disappointing that even our address was spelt wrong which could have been checked so easily. It was as if they were prepared by somebody who had no knowledge of what they were doing.
Finally, the second payment was taken 6, yes 6 months before the final documentation was delivered. We did have some difficulties with proof of address which had not been discussed in either of the appointments and could have been gathered much more easily in person.

All in all, a poor service for such an expensive and proclaimed quality service. I would not be recommending them to anyone I know.
