Great day out! We paddled from Shrewsbury Weir to Ironbridge, Telford. James was on time and provided all the kit and instruction. He tracked us during the route and was able to take photos from some vantage points along the way! All in all took around 6 hours with a picnic lunch stop on the river near Wroxeter, all polished off with a pint at the finish. 100% recommend to any visiting Shropshire or looking to explore.

Started with an introduction and informative briefing from James before setting off on the quiet and peaceful river Tern running through the Attingham estate. It was a very pleasant paddle up and then down the river, initially causing the geese to take flight to the field or further up river. Only a limited number of canoes are launched so the river stays quiet.

Enjoyed a lovely hour paddling up and back in the grounds of Attingham Park. A different way to experience a National Trust property, and a lovely end to our holiday! Would definitely use Shrewsbury Canoe Hire again if in the vicinity.

My session was very well arranged, with clear safety instructions at the start. With a 3 hour session, my group got to go quite a way down the river, which was nice as we got the opportunity to see some local wildlife.
