Great place to walk the dog or go for lunch at one of the reasonably priced bars or cafes. Great value for money

It's small and quaint. Nice walks along a flat promenade, bus shelters to sit and eat your chips or have an ice cream.
If you feel energetic, you can walk all the way along the Promenade to Sandown. Outside of this, there is really only one way in and out of the seafront, and that is via a quite steep road. Car Parking for such a small area is usually quite good, although, like anywhere else, when it is very busy, parking can be a challenge.

Plenty of activities including two crazy golf courses and a upside down house as well as the arcade. Also places to eat restaurants in the hotels as well as fish and chips from the arcade. The tide does not go out too far so he's a good place. If you don't want to have to walk miles like you may do at ryde.

Lovely place to visit day or night. We were fortunate to visit on Aug 10th when they were celebrating the 170th anniversary of the Shanklin Regatta. It was the night before our 27th anniversary and said to my wife that it’s like the fireworks were for us personally. Enjoyed them more than New Year’s Eve that are done in London. Well done Shanklin on showing the Mayor of London a proper light show.
Went back next afternoon to enjoy a round of outdoor crazy golf and have an ice cream walking down the Esplanade.

The esplanade at Shanklin is always worth a visit, even in February. To see and hear the sea is fantastic and life affirming.
The amusement arcade was also open, which pleased our daughter, and this was followed by a brief walk along the beach.

A lovely open sea front with lots going on. If you park on the main seafront be prepared to pay an arm and a leg. Plenty of amusements and restaurants. Two crazy golf courses are great fun and there are bumper cars and plenty to keep the big and little kids happy.

One of the best crazy golf courses we have done .
Such amazing fun, not expensive and plenty of holes to test your skills.
This is in a fab beach location so no excuse not to grab a coffee or ice-cream .
Plenty of places to eat and drink along the esplanade .
