I am so pleased I chose Secret Hills for a four-day walking holiday around Borrowdale in the northern Lake District. Alan patiently answered all my questions about gear and getting there. Bridget was a terrific guide, very well informed about the tracks, and able to make some adjustments to suit different stamina levels. The hotel was relaxing, with good food, and the group was enjoyable company. My only small gripe was that it would have been great to have had more pauses as we walked, to include commentary about the history, geology, and trees of the area. Great memories, thank you, Bridget and Alan. (BTW, Brits know this, but a reminder to outsiders that it rains - generally gently - a lot in the Lake District. With the right gear the walking is still a pleasure.)
