We were absolute beginners and happened to
face a force 3 wind on our very first day out! Amy made sure we were fit for the challenge by showing us the most essential moves before heading out of the harbor. When we encountered more wind and a few waves, she quickly added more tricks to adjust to the conditions - we worked hard to get back, so the first day was a true baptism in kayaking! The second day Amy thought we‘d deserve a bit more leisurly conditions - and oh wow, what a sunny, lovely day it was! We saw seals, an eagle and two sea otters playing around us for long time! Lastly she showed us how to rescue ourselves back into the kayak - overall it was such a lovely experienec! Amy is a wonderful teacher and has great stories to tell! Thank you so much - we will be back!

Laura was a wonderful guide! We had the best time kayaking around Kerrera. We saw cows on the shore, a couple of seals, and the weather could not have been better. Highly recommend!

Booked a coastal day trip for 17th July , having previously hired a sea kayak last year .
Our group of six had varying paddling backgrounds. Led by Mark we were fully briefed and kitted out, driven to the launch site and then had a fantastic paddle along coast of Shuna . Mark was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and safety conscious leader maximising our time on the water with changing weather conditions.
Would thoroughly recommend as a way to get out on the water

Great sea kayaking experience with Sea Kayak Oban!
Our two-day expedition was well structured, and we were provided with excellent equipment. Laura and Amy were fantastic at sharing their knowledge about kayaking skills and the environment. They structured the two days to suit our group of five and took individual skill levels into account.

They were calm, very approachable, and explained the reasoning behind the chosen route as we went along. They always checked in with the group to ensure everyone was happy and comfortable with the decisions.

We were tired but happy after paddling 20k per day 😊. The beautiful Scottish scenery obviously added to the experience.

I can highly recommend Sea Kayak Oban—from the initial booking communication to the final tour. Thank you!

An excellent trip with Mark around Shuna, North Lismore and Port Appin.
Despite the gales, rain and high tides due to the Sturgeon super moon and my schedule Mark was very helpful in arranging this trip.
It did involve an early morning launch at 6 am just North of Linnhe marina which was great and I really appreciated Mark starting at that time.
The P&H Cetus provided was an excellent boat which I really enjoyed using for the trip and whilst I was already looking for a boat to compliment my Delphin I am now seriously tempted by the Cetus.
The trip was excellent and at times challenging for me. A great location with lots of interest. The weather could not decide what it was doing and we seemed to have all four seasons in one day.
Mark explained well the varying water conditions, the flows and the way the wind was funnelled by the Islands. We experienced a whole host of water conditions and Mark again took the time to explain the rescue situations and the risk scenario. It did seem at times that I was close to testing the rescue techniques but I was always confident in Marks support.
Mark was informative, supportive and entertaining throughout the trip.
I really enjoyed the day and hope to return.

A wonderful 3 day experience in the beautiful Scottish islands. The equipment and guiding was first rate and we were really lucky with the weather. I’d recommend to anyone wanting to try a more immersive kayak experience than the normal day trip. I was able to borrow camping gear and the preparation lists were very good. Somehow I got everything into the boat. The company was great and it was a wonderful experience.
