We experienced a fun, exciting well planned 3 week trip to South Africa. From seeing breaching Humpbacks and snorkeling just above them, to dive bombing gannets and pods of dolphins in their hundreds...and lets not forget the raggys and the bronze whaler sharks, we certainly got our fill of ocean wildlife!!!

The accommodation at Mbotyi was basic/rustic but just what was required, clean and comfortable with views over looking the river and ocean. Fabulous. The food was great (yummy).

The Sardine run crew were skilled, knowledgeable and great company. The boats were comfortable and of a good standard.

The apartments and hotels we stayed at in Hermanus and in Cape Town were of a high standard. Clean, large and spacious. The accommodation in Hermanus boasted great ocean views and we were graced with the sight of a whale from our bedroom balcony! The villa stay in Umkomaas was peaceful and welcoming, with a home away from home feel to it.

Combining a stay at the quint seaside town of Hermanus, with the city of Capetown with it's stunning coastline and Table Top Mountain, to the excitement and thrill of the Sardine run, is a brilliant way to really experience some of what South Africa has to offer.

Damian's knowledge and experience of the places he books is great and it really makes the holiday come together ensuring you eat in the tastiest of restaurants (the steaks are to die for!), sample the best South African wines and most importantly for us, be dazzled and awed by Humpback whales breaching just by the boat and the beautiful nature that South Africa has to offer.

If you are not all about the water, fear not, there is hikes to do, nature reserves, coastal walks, waterfall, micro-light experience, vineyards, historical places and mountains to climb. So much on offer, you'll not be bored. And it needs to be said, the trip was excellent value for money.

We have already booked another trip with Scuba Dive Adventures and we have no doubt that our next trip will be just as fantastic.

Damo got me back into diving after 5 years out and on all the trips I have shared with him he has always instilled a great deal of fun , yet an awareness of safety and well-being if the divers . The trips are always 5⭐️+ and I would recommend his tours without hesitation

Whether it's training/diving in the UK, or somewhere farther--flung, Damian works hard to ensure you have a great trip, and the scenery, accommodation and activities are always top-notch!

My husband and I have just returned from the Ultimate Big 5 trip to South Africa hosted by Scuba Dive Adventures. The trip was 3 weeks packed with adventure and making amazing memories.
The first week was based around shark diving and exploring the reef at Aliwal Shoal with African Watersports - they’re extremely knowledgeable and the accommodation is comfortable and clean, with a very warm welcome from the owners.
The second week was a safari at Thanda Private Game Reserve which was, to say the least, amazing! Early morning game drives were followed by lazy afternoons around the pool with lots of great food and drink, with late afternoon game drives affording views of sunsets, always seeing amazing wildlife up close, with very experienced drivers and spotters. This week is the most luxurious part of the holiday!
The third week was split into two parts - a few days in Hermanus - a lovely quiet seaside town with a trip to cage dive with great white sharks. Then finally we ended the trip with a few days in Cape Town - a bustling city full of culture where we enjoyed a nice hike (rock climb!!!) up Table Mountain.
The whole holiday was an amazing experience - we have made some wonderful friends over the three weeks! Damian looks after you very well and plans every detail for you to get the best experience, changing days round if weather gets in the way! We have been on several holidays via Scuba Dive Adventures, have enjoyed all of them, and have more booked which we are looking forward to enjoying in the future!

I've been diving since doing my open water course in Australia in 1995. I've known Damian personally for almost ten years. I've been on countless uk trips with Damian and twice to Maldives once to South Africa and Egypt. There is nobody I trust more in diving travel holidays than Damian. He goes out of his way to ensure that the team is looked after and that we receive value for money. He pushes the tour operators to give the best boats and the best itinerary in the best season at a good value. Many good people I've met through trips organised by Damian have become lifelong friends through our shared experiences together. Whether underwater or on Land the trips he organises run like clockwork with no lengthy lay overs and enough variety and laughs. I wish for at least a further ten years of Scuba Dive Adventures.
