This is a great way to get to the bottom of the hill and back up. At the moment itโ€™s not going anywhere today the contractor said itโ€™s chockablock down the seafront.

Although the lift is broken and taking over to boost in businesses is the sun the blue sky and the tourists.

Iโ€™m sure that the lift repairers are good at their work and doing best they can.

The sun has been beautiful all morning itโ€™s now 13.36 thereโ€™s no sign of rain and not much wind business is booming the date 8th July.

Really quaint old Funicular. Only a very short journey, so quite expensive for the distance! However, worth it for the experience.

Wonderful piece of Victorian engineering, still owned and run by the council. Beats walking back up those steps. Dogs can travel and they also go free of charge. You can travel both ways of course. Adult fare ยฃ1.60 at time of comment. Think kids were a pound, family tickets and annual pass also available. Should also mention the really pleasant staff....but I won't ๐Ÿ˜†. Seriously, wonderful team on duty the day I used it,as I'm sure there always is.

A lovely little treat for the day! ยฃ1.60 each way for an adult. Going down, the queue is much quicker of course. Going up there was a long wait so we decided to take the stairs instead.
