Absolutely stunning. We parked up the top which is free and walked down the steps as the transport wasn’t running but it was not a problem at all. The beach is lovely even on a rainy afternoon it’s beautiful. The beach is clean and tidy and dogs are allowed on during the winter months. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice walk around Saltburn today as the sun had come out.
Various walks around the sea front and nice refreshment stalls, etc, mainly ice cream and fish and chips. Beach huts and, of course, Saltburn Pier. I see there is now a little crazy golf course. The cliff lift was not open as it was winter at the time of my visit. Great for families.

Used the funicular tramway £1-60 each way, card or cash
Well worth it. On the foreshore there are plenty of cafes restaurants to suit all tastes. The pier has the usual gaming machines. Surfing hire is readily available to hire or buy from the surf shop..
Well worth a visit.

My favourite place in the entire UK. Great for dog walking, sea glass and pebble finding and the occasional fossil... best going to Runswick for those.

What a little gem of a place! Loved it. Very grateful for the cliff lift which unfortunately is now closed for the winter. Great little independent shops and a great beach unencumbered by noise and the usual crummy shops. I’ll be back.

I'm so blessed to live locally, Saltburn is a delight. From walking along the cliff tops to a ride on the famous funicular. There is a carpark lower end of the beach with toilets , disability facilities & parking , high season , weekends is extremely popular . You've 2 sides of the beach , along by Huntcliff cliffs , please CHECK TIDE TIMES if walking this area . also a seated / table area for ice cream fish n chips coffees . Or follow along the promenade, cafes fish n chips etc toilets the arcades , pier walk , stroll past the named & colourful beach huts , a walk on the beach , donkey rides , surf & paddle board shop, book your lessons . The tidal times popular with surfers . But take note of the life guarded areas for swimming , there are rip tides so safety first . Take in the view from the beach, looking up along the cliff top, houses to the sand dunes . The working funicular & stunning pier . Adjacent to the main car park is Valley Gardens, it's a stunning visit with a wooded garden seated outdoor & in Cafe , yummy cakes, hot lunches , the best coffee , go say hello to Laura & her lovely staff .it's a visit not to be missed as is Saltburn

Amazing beach. Beautiful, clean and the kids love it.
It's a cheapish day out with full day parking at £7.20, no tat shops, only 1 amusement.
Valley gardens is a hidden treasure.
We always forget how much we love it until we spend the day there. Such a little diamond.

We stayed in Saltburn for a couple of days and were delighted! Our dog came with us, and practically every cafe was dog friendly - huge bonus points. We were extremely lucky to be able to use the funicular railway, as it is a great example of Victorian engineering. Sunday lunch at the Ship Inn was a treat.
