Absolutely magical sailing with Barge Drifter. Neil and Debbie were charming and informative guides and we enjoyed the slow pace of the 2.5 hour sailing. Neil was very kind to call us as soon as he had a cancellation and this was the highlight of our holiday. Our dog had a lovely time too!

Debbie & Neil are fantastic & friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 1/2 hour sail with them. The scenery is stunning and they shared so many interesting insights into what we saw along the way. Communication was great and the recommendation to try The Blue Heron Inn for lunch afterwards was spot on. This is an absolute highlight of our Cornwall vacation and we highly recommend this experience!

I had a wonderful day out sailing on drifter with the lovely Debbie and Neil. We were able to have her sails up and the boat was spectacular under sail.
We anchored in a small cove and had a picnic , the scenery was amazing and we managed to see seals on the riverbank.
I will definitely be having another trip on drifter when I visit cornwall

Debbie and Neil could not have been more helpful. We chose the 2 hr option and received a warm, friendly welcome aboard this traditional dutch sailing barge. The river was calm, but with a gentle breeze the foresail was all that was needed to propel us along. There were plenty of photo opportunities including the resident seal who visits the mussel beds and several herons. Neil pointed out the home of Lord Falmouth who now has some tea plantations on the river banks. We also were able to see the National Trust Trelissick. We sailed past the King Harry Ferry and up one of the creeks to Combe. Sailing Barge Drifter has an engine which can be used when needed, but for the most part, the occasional flap of the sail cloth and the turn of a winch is the only sound you hear above nature. I can't imagine a better way to explore the river, so completely different and more personal to a regular tourist boat. We're going to book the 4 hour experience next time. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely boat trip with Neil and Debbie last Friday, the first of their season, it was a beautiful day and a fab boat! It was a great experience, was lovely to learn about the boat and all the fascinating facts about the river and its surroundings. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable whilst onboard. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area and looking for a unique boat experience. Thank you again guys!

Debbie and Neil were fantastic hosts for a 4hr sail/drift. It was such a treat to see the river from a different perspective, and their local knowledge added hugely to our enjoyment. Extremely confident and compentant captain and host, this was a highlight of our holiday and a very special anniversary celebration. Definitely recommend 100%!
