This was our third guided mountain bike holiday with Saddle Skedaddle.
Yet again it was everything we could have hoped for. All we had to do was ride and enjoy as everything else was taken care of.
The trip was led by top class guides who were well organised and worked brilliantly as a team.
These guides work really hard and still found time to provide some entertaining moments along the way through the stunning Sardinian scenery.
Support and communications from the office staff is excellent too!
Can’t wait for our next adventure…

Our group of 5 seniors (mostly late 70s) cyclists loved the self-guided Lake District bike tour. Great scenery of green rolling hills with lots of sheep, country lanes, paths along lakes, quaint villages, etc. The routes were fun, but not for novice cyclists. Our E-Bikes allowed us to deal with the hills and occasional rough terrain. The Ride With GPS app made navigating straightforward, telling us when we got off the route. Three nights each in Keswick and Ambleside gave us options of not riding when needing a rest - but most rode every day. Skedaddle support was great. Our lodging hosts were helpful and charming, and the breakfasts were delicious.

I’ve recently finished Skedaddle’s Reiver Trails guided gravel cycling trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having done many road trips with them in the past this was my first gravel trip and I was very happy to see the attention to detail I’ve come to expect from Skedaddle. The fact that one of our guides was the person who designed the route is of course a very nice bonus. I can’t recommend Skedaddle enough!

I’ve just spent five days cycling the Hebridean Way with Saddle Skedadle. This was my sixth Skedadle tour and logistically perhaps the most difficult because it is the most remote: two days travel each way!

The ride was great fun exploring a remote (for me) part of the UK. Long on my list of places to go, the tour met my expectations: the scenery, the hospitality, the courtesy of drivers. Even (perversely!) the weather: we saw the lot (well, no snow: phew!).

One of the nice things about Skedadle is that they always are ready, like for fog preventing a ferry sailing! It’s nice to be able to leave everything to the experts and just enjoy the ride.

Yes, I’ll now start thinking my next Skedadle, another foray into the wonderful Scotland, I think!

Across the Scottish highland on remote trails with MTB (or on some trips eMTB) via Fort William (Witches Trails and Great Glen Way), Fort Augustus, Kingussie , Tomintoul (highest village in highlands), Mount Kean (very big hill!) and ending up on the coast at Montrose
This all sounds easy enough but this is definitely in the "achievable challenge" class of multiday bike rides. Mostly single track or stalking roads, with a good split of forrest, moorland and highland estates.
So its remote, very quiet you will see very few other bikers or hikers. A real highland experience! Good hotels (no chains just well chosen for accommodation and food)

We recently did Saddle Skedaddle’s Provence ride. It was wonderful! Highlights included the ascent of the iconic Mont Ventoux, rising through the Gorges de Verdon and also the Col de Vence ride on the last day. It was a very friendly and supportive group of 10 riders in total, with two guides, Lieven and Massimo, who took turns driving the support van or riding with us. Food was great and we lucked out with the weather. All in all, pretty much a perfect trip!

We just returned from our tenth cycle tour offered by Saddle Skedaddle, a tour of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. We have had the pleasure of cycling in eight different countries, spanning the distance from Italy to Norway. We keep returning to Saddle Skedaddle for our cycling vacation due to the outstanding service provided by the company. Online information on each tour has given us a good idea of what to expect. Booking is quite straight forward. The information we receive just prior to the start of the trip has been extremely useful to help us to prepare for the trip. They even phone you just before the trip to make sure all is in order. Hotel accommodations are generally quite comfortable. Our comparison of costs among other cycle tour companies have shown Saddle Skedaddle provides good value for your money.

Most importantly, once the tour in underway, the guides are consistently wonderful. They professionally keep all cyclists, regardless of experience and fitness level, safely on course, provide tasty refreshments and lunches, and are a source of much interesting information regarding sites along the way. There is something particularly special about rolling into your lunch spot beside a beach, with a wonderful lunch spread already prepared for your arrival by the tour guides.

We can highly recommend Saddle Skedaddle for your cycling vacations!

We’ve just got back from the Skedaddle Hadrian's Cycleway (6 days cycling) Self-Guided Leisure Cycling Holiday.
It was our fifth trip with Skedaddle but the first time we have been self-guided and our first hotel to hotel trip. We were so pleased with everything about the trip. The carefully selected guest houses, each had a unique character, and all were aware of our particular needs. My wife and I were travelling with our adult daughter. She has learning difficulties and needs assistance and privacy. Skedaddle made sure that at each venue there was an appropriate single room near to ours for her.
The Cycle app worked well, and we took turns to use it confidently to navigate. The roads were quiet, and each stop had something unique to look at.

The trip was great from start to finish.
Anyone who is looking for a challenge with some time to spare should consider the 6 days cycling version. We are leisure cyclists, around 20 miles a day is enough for us, we can also manage around 300 metres of elevation. While there were a couple of days that stretched us. The sense of achievement when we reached Tynemouth was unbeatable. The daily mileage also allowed us time each day to visit a museum, look around a town or do some sightseeing. This meant that we felt we had explored the area as well as ridden through it. Thanks to the Skedaddle team for finding us an achievable coast to coast tour.
