We found Dot Cottage a wonderful place to stay! When we arrived in August the house was clean, comfortable and well decorated (great selection of hats). The kitchen was well-equipped and meant we could cook for ourselves when we wanted a couple of quiet evenings in. Stepping outside right next to Rye's iconic Landgate made it the perfect point to start exploring the town from each day. We were easily able to contact the owner via email. We loved our stay and are thinking of coming back for a long weekend sometime.

Strand house is a spacious and clean 4 bedroom house. The two large kingsize beds are extremely comfortable. The outside space is exceptionally good for family entertaining. The kitchen has a small table lovely for an early coffee. Loved the cute bunk beds too. An ideal holiday let. Jacqui and Steve who run Rye and Beyond are fabulous to deal with and easy booking. We would highly recommend. 5 Stars service.

The owner had decorated the house for Christmas with several trees and swags and lights. The wow factor apart from the magnificent view from the master bedroom was the beautiful dining table had been set for dinner complete with Christmas crackers and table decorations and scented candles. The bathrooms had generous sets of toiletries and fluffy towels. The beds were all extremely comfortable. We were made to feel at home straight away and we enjoyed having a roaring log fire going in the evening. The owner is extremely thoughtful with so many little touches which made our Christmas extra special and she even left us a welcome pack. A throughly enjoyable stay in a splendid house in such a pretty location. We will definitely be back.

Wir waren dieses Jahr Ostern mal wieder im schönen Südengland unterwegs und wollten dieses Mal in der Umgebung von Rye bleiben. Auf der Homepage von Rye and beyond haben wir eine wunderbare Auswahl an Unterkünften gefunden. Der Kontakt zum Büro war freundlich, schnell und sehr engagiert. Bereits im Vorfeld wurden wir mit vielen Tipps versorgt und die Bezahlung lief per Kreditkarte von Deutschland aus total unproblematisch. Wir hatten uns für ein Cottage in Pett Level entschieden, da wir gerne immer etwas außerhalb nächtigen. Coastguard's Cottage hat ein maritimes Weltenbummler Ambiente und ist sehr schön eingerichtet und ausgestattet.
Der kleine Garten ist interessant und die Aussicht vom Masterbedroom im Obergeschoss ist phantastisch! Man blickt von Kopfkissen aufs Meer und durch die mangelnde Luftverschmutzung sind klare Sternennächte unglaublich schön.
Wir waren sehr zufrieden.
Wenn man das Haar in der Suppe suchen mag: wir hatten anfangs Schwierigkeiten die Zufahrt zu finden und in der eigentlich sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche fehlte eine Bratpfanne. Das ist aber Klagen auf hohem Niveau. Wir würden jederzeit nochmal über Rye and beyond buchen. Vielen Dank!
