Terrible service and it doesn't hurt to be polite, and I missed my train having to wait 30 min with My kids as he wasn't even able to give me the right information, and he should learn English we are in England specially in a train station you should know your job aswell as try avoid talking to collage in your language come to work go chat on brake or when your finished your shift. Joke I speak Spanish but when at work is English and customer service as always. While not the case here

Whether you're interested in history or love to window shop, this is a fabulous town to explore with cobbled streets, medieval / Georgean / Victorian buildings. In addition to a supermarket (opposite the railway station) there's a lovely cinema, bowls/cricket/tennis clubs and a plethora of high quality restaurants.

Rye is a quaint little town. Lots of places to see anf explore. Ther are loads of antique & charity shops to go through. Lots of lovely restaurants & Pubs to visit. While I was there I met the Mayor of Rye, Andi Reevet. A really friendly and nice guy. Allround a great place to visit 👍😁

Lovely old town with quirky cobbled streets, lovely church, museum and plenty of pubs and cafés. Thursday is market day and plenty of different stalls. Thoroughly enjoyable visit

Love these old South Eastern Railway stations.
Service is hourly but Rye is a lovely place to visit and this is the best routed if not in a car.
This station was originally built back in 1851 and up until the 1960's had some gaslighting on the platforms.
It is quite surprising given the popularity of Rye that the trains are not more frequent but I guess that is our increasing dependence on cars.
There are public toilets right outside the station which is useful and not sure about disabled access but would guess that is difficult as there is a footbridge to cross over the line and does not seem to be much else.
