We had the MOST magical stay at Piggy Wood. We have been to the Rustic Country Retreats twice before and stayed at Lakeside (which is amazing), but this was another level, it was so remote (make sure you pack proper wellies/walking boots as there is a muddy hill to get down if it's been raining), such a great size, we had enough space and so, so cozy. We went to the Bell and Crown Inn and enjoyed walking around the local villages. It was the perfect, relaxing weekend and we loved the hot tub! We will definitely be coming back.

What can I say about this cabin, it was just magical. The instructions on how to find the place are so clear, the cabin itself is perfect for a weekend away.
It has everything you need for an off grid weekend with the options to go back on. The cabin was so peaceful and private.
The fireplace and hot tube just make it the best experience.
I will be going back soon as I think each season will unlock something amazing and different.

My wife booked piggywood cabin for my 37th birthday and it was exactly what I wanted, the pictures do not do it justice… I will post a lot of pictures to show off it’s true beauty! It was such an amazing break away wish we could have stayed longer, the whole experience was a game changer into tranquility. The hosts are amazing and sort everything out so your stay is peaceful and stress free and we’re already looking to come back. If you need a get away and a little look into off grid living with all the luxury this is definitely the place you need to go! From high quality bedding to a fully functional bathroom, open fire wood burner, wood fire hot tub and outdoor cooking (indoor cooking also available). Also the privacy of the cabin was perfect, we didn’t see one human the whole time, only animals which was just what we wanted. I honestly could not ask for more, 5 stars just isn’t enough. Thank you to Billie and Luke for our wonderful stay.

Fabulous cabin! We stayed in Lakeside and it was great. Well equipped, very clean, lovely decor and felt at home! It was spacious with high ceiling. Log burner was easy to use. Location is great too, only a short drive to the local villages. Would highly recommend!

One of the highlights of our stay was the wood-fired hot tub. There's something incredibly soothing about soaking under the stars, surrounded by nature. It added a special touch to our romantic retreat and was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.

Just returned from a few days away in Berril the horsebox. Myself and my cocker spaniel Lennon had such a great time, we didn’t want to leave. Berril has been beautifully converted to a very high standard. The inside and outside space was just amazing. Berril was very well equipped with everything for humans and their 4 legged friends. The location is stunning and so peaceful, I felt like we were miles away from anywhere. Lots of amazing local walks and great places to eat. This was our second visit to Rustic Country Retreats - it definitely won’t be our last!

Lovely stay at Sweet Acre. It was a last minute getaway for us to enjoy some fresh air & long walks. It did not disappoint, from the clear instructions before arrival to the well equipped shepherds hut. Everything has been thought out, and a special nod for it actually being dog friendly and not a place masquerading as one, our pup was very much thought of us much as us 🩵

Had the most wonderful few days in Lakeside Cabin. It's a great mix of rustic and contemporary inside, with a woodburner, TV and big comfy bed. It even has WiFi. The views are breathtaking and it's so peaceful. We particularly enjoyed hearing the rain on the cabin roof. The hot tub was a particular delight- much easier to use than we expected. We'll definitely be coming again and can't recommend this place highly enough.
