If they will be have a jet wash for muddy dogs that will be perfect park for my "not always golden" retriever. Very friendly park. Nice, polite people. Well-behaved dogs. Good education section. Sometimes part of the park is flooded, but the main part is accessible. Nice part with appels trees with old and local spices (very tasty;).

This park is a perfect family park, lots of paths trees and fields to explore as well as toilets and a small cafe. The kids love the play area and outdoor gym space too.
There is a well attended parkrun held here and kids parkrun, as well as Ramblers Wellbeing Walks most weeks.
There is a changing place here in the little building they have near the car park too which also has a room with a large screen which would hold around 30 people and a small kitchenette for groups to hire.
The paths round the lake are really accessible hard paths for a shorter walk or there are many longer routes round. There's even a dogs play area with training equipment

Great route for Park Run - I used to come to this park a lot when I was younger, and all that seems to have changed over the years is that it feels a lot smaller than I remember! The hills and the distance to the car park felt minuscule compared to how it felt when I was a small kid!

I would definitely come back here just for the pond/lake views and scenery.

Beautiful park, walkways, lake with ducks & swans. Great for the whole family, children's sensory area, lovely coffee shop. Lots of seating around the lake for the elderly or just to take in the tranquility. Love our day there.

Visited here for the Saturday morning parkrun. Loads of parking and only ÂŖ1.80 for 3 hours. Bit frustrating that loads of people park on the main roads entering the park, clogging up the traffic, just to avoid paying, maybe they can now buy ÂŖ201.80 trainers. Well marshalled venue and well attended, over 500 this weekend. Run is mostly flat on graval paths, so road running shoes are fine. Two lapper, but the 2nd lap is more enjoyable as the field of runners thins out. Cafes and pop up catering vans, toilets etc on site, great venue.

Excellent park with a nice range of outdoor places. You have woods, a large well maintained pond, fields, meadows, gravel paths, a picnic spot and a play area for kids. There's also clean toilets and places you can get icecreams, food and drinks. Next door you also have a museum of public transport with a mini train you can take a ride on, and a cafe. The photos were taken at the end of March.

We have brought the kids here several times even though it's a bit of a drive for us. Reasonably priced parking, 2 or 3 places to get a coffee and snack, plenty of space to walk or run about. A highlight is the sensory garden which is one of the best in the East Midlands airport.
