Great place to come for a couple of hours of relaxation, if you are fit enough you can walk around the loch, about 12km. Or just enjoy looking out over the loch from one of the hides, cafe and shop but best to check online for opening times, large car park free for RSPB members.

Great for a wander. We met Ian a volunteer in one of the hides and he helped us see much more than we would have being on our own.
Really enjoyed our ramble

Lovely visit, be warned though the walk up the hill can be steep, but it has fantastic views. We also enjoyed lovely takeaway sandwiches from the cafe.

Arrived around 3 30pm on a lovely autumn afternoon - £3 to park which was fair enough - the shop was well presented and upstairs a cafe ( closes @4pm) serving snacks. Fantastic toilets ! We had a short walk towards the loch and dropped into a few hides - really interesting. We will return to explore further as there are many walks to be explored. Attached pictures are taken from the hides....
Oh - and no shortage of EV charging points !

I went up Benarty Hill behind the reserve. Free parking for RSPB members. Amazing views from the hill, and very decent cafe, shop, hides and other bird watching resources back down at loch level.

Had a lovely day out at Loch Leven. The staff at the welcome centre especially Linda were brilliant. She was more than happy to give us tips on spotting red squirrels and other wildlife around the area. Plenty of birds to see down at the Loch with some lovely walks, we plan on coming back again!

Nice reserve with extensive wetlands and a woodland walk. There are three hides providing views of pools and wet grasslands. On my last visit I saw a Marsh Harrier and four Ospreys. Ospreys don't breed here but fish in the Loch, especially in late summer. There are Red Squirrels in the woods and Brown Hares in the fields.

The visitor centre is staffed by helpful volunteers and has an excellent cafe with loads of tasty vegan options, which suits me.
