The location of this hidden gem is perfect. With easy access straight off the motorway and only a 10-15 minute walk into the city centre to enjoy the bars and restaurants. The apartments themselves were clean and comfortable and very quiet. The communication from Natalia was excellent and reassuring. The only negative, which isn't the fault of the Royal Chambers is the parking, there are 2 public car parks literally over the road from the venue but they're very expensive so factor this in, this didn't impact on our stay as we were made aware in advance.

We tried to get breakfast in the little cafe but unfortunately they only offered snacks and savouries, so a walk into the city centre was needed for a proper breakfast.

We would definitely stay here again if traveling back in the area.

Had a great 2 night stay here. Checkin was easy (sent codes via email and let ourselves in). I recommend booking direct as you get some additional perks such as a bottle of wine and later checkout.

We had the penthouse apartment which was clean and tidy and the rooms were a good size. I saw some comments about the showers/hot water etc but we, 4 adults, had no issues the entire weekend. I found the beds comfy and the apartment was quiet so I slept well.

The location was fine for us and we were happy to walk into the city but some may prefer to stay closer.

The view from the apartment was great, you could see the necropolis and some of the older parts of the city.

We didn’t actually make much use of the roof terrace as there was a cold wind that weekend and the terrace is shaded in the evenings.

I have mixed feelings about my stay at the Royal Chambers. I saw the management did try, but unfortunately, they didn’t try hard enough. We booked two apartments for 10 days in Glasgow. On the second evening, my daughter reported that water was leaking from the light fitting of her bedroom onto her bed and she had to sleep on the sofa. Her clothing and belongings were splashed and soiled with brown water from the leak.

Firstly, there is no out of hours emergency contact information in the apartment. The apartments are managed off sight by an absentee third party. All that I was able to do was send an email and hope that someone answered it in the morning. Any guest who has a problem are on their own, don’t expect help until the next day! I would submit that this is extremely bad practice. The office managing the property only commutate through email during office hours, I asked a member of staff to contact me to discuss the water leak, but all I got was an email offering to change the water soiled linen on the bed. I don’t think this email considered the gravity of the situation. There was no acknowledgement or apology that my daughter had to sleep on a sofa. The offer to change bedding suggested that my daughter was supposed to remain in a room with the potentially leaking roof dripping out of a light fitting. I am very annoyed that my daughter had to go through this and the way that it was handled by the management. However I negotiated a £145 refund when I got home and this was promptly paid.

I replied to their email and outlined what action I expected their company to take. They responded to me by telling me to stop emailing them; that they were working to fix the issue. I did not like the tone of this email. The management then agreed to move my daughters to another apartment at 12 noon. We were in Glasgow sightseeing, we had to return to the building to move apartments. This took up more time away from our holiday. There was still no apology form the management company.

Secondly, while the two apartments that my daughters stayed in were well appointed, our apartment was more like a shabby, tired, student let than a luxury holiday apartment.

The wooden floors were badly damaged.
The cushion floor in the bathroom was discoloured, water damage and it was lifting.
The doors in the kitchen cupboards were hanging off.
The sofa was beat out and ripped.
There was a large clump of hair laying in our bedroom, demonstrating that it was not cleaned properly.
There was no door handle on our bedroom door.
The lock was broken on the bathroom door and sticking.
There was also water damage in the public spaces of the building.

Thirdly, the rooms in our apartment were overlooked by a massive multi-storey car park .We had to keep the curtains closed to stop drivers looking into our rooms. The Royal Hospital is situated beside the apartment; we heard sirens all night and the noisy hum of the hospital’s air-conditioning units below the rear windows of the apartments. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. we were unable to get a full night’s sleep between sirens, humming and uncomfortable beds.

I want to be fair and say that I did see all the little things like: coffee, water in the fridge and clean towels in the apartment. I really appreciated that we were contacted in the middle of the week and with an offer to replace our towels and bed linen. I don't want seem as if I am unreasonable, but our apartment was in a very tired state of repair for the money that we paid. Our apartment was not up to the standard of the other two rooms that our daughters stayed in. I contacted the management before I left this review , I gave them a week, but they didn't respond to me.

The apartment that we stayed in was more student flat than luxury apartment. The only thing Royal about it was the name! I would never return to stay here, I was very disappointed by our apartment and the altitude of the management company who oversees the apartments.

Really nice small business ran by lovely people!! We stayed in one of the Royal Chambers apartments only for 2 nights, but we enjoyed it so much. Rooms were clean, the flat itself was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback is that there is no parking, and it was tricky even to stop for a minute to drop our bags off. But we found cheap parking space not far away, so the problem was solved. We enjoyed our complementary drinks as well! Thanks again for a wonderful stay in Glasgow!

We enjoyed a two night stay. The apartment was perfect: very clean, spacious with probably the most comfiest bed/mattress during our trip. It providea easy access to the city with various bus stops just outside the entrance. We especially liked the fact that the bedroom was located within one of the towers, quite a unique experience. Amazing price for value!

Excellent apartments for families. Clean and tidy. Lovely welcome gift of homemade shortbread on arrival when you book directly. Slightly out from city center but an Uber was only £8 into center. Would be easy to walk. We unfortunately didn’t manage to try the cafe attached but heard wonderful reviews!
