A great day out for the family. A super line with a variety of engines. The rover ticket works well to hop on and off along the routes. Great cafe and museum at Romney. Make sure you download and use the audio app for your guide along the route. Definitely recommend 5 Star

Easily one of my favourite places in the world! The railway itself is a special piece of history. The trains are a masterclass of engineering. The staff are friendly and helpful. Just the perfect day out!

This is a great day out. We started at Dungeness end of the line and if you buy a Rover ticket you can get on and off the train at any stop to explore. Not been on here since I was a child, its still great fun.

Really good fun heritage railway experience. We parked and used the mid-point location at New Romney. Travelled to Dungeness and ate some food at the cafe there. Had a walkabout the area then travelled to Dymchurch (which, looked quant at first but degenerated fast into the arcades and cheap souvenirs. Poor seas too - warnings not to swim due to water quality).

The trains are so much fun to ride. I agree that it’s not an especially picturesque ride in places - lots of rear gardens to admire - but otherwise a jolly good time. We had Rover tickets, £29 each at time of writing for a 1-day unlimited travel. £6 or so to park for the day using their ANPR system.

This was a day well spent. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and the fact that it was dog friendly made it perfect. The weather plays along, and the food at all the stops was also excellent. This is so worth doing whether you're 5 years old or 95 years old. Magnificent. Thank you to all the volunteers who keep these stream and diesel gems looking and running so beautifully.

Great place to have cool experience with mini steam train from town to town for adults and kids, recommended to everyone to take this train and do a round trip , even the town itself is beautiful .

Went for a trip, travelled the entire length, the train was gorgeous, the carriages well maintained, clean and surprisingly spacious even with me being over 6ft tall I was able to sit comfortably.

Staff were friendly and kind and the run itself smooth. If you're interested in trains this is definitely worth a visit, or if you have small children interested in trains they'll love it.

That being said whilst I have nothing but praise for the train the views en-route are rather lacking, mostly fields and water treatment plants or the back gardens of houses. Only the very last stretch near Dungeness opened up to some beautiful views of the coastal region.
