We had a brilliant day in Llangattock with Chris and Janine, it's really boosted our confidence trekking in places we've never visited before. I loved all of the history and botanical info as it brought the landscape even more to life. Chris and Janine were both really supportive, especially as I'm not the most confident climber, but it was great! Wouod definitely recommend and we will definitely be booking again!

On Saturday 9th March I went on a guided hike with Chris from ROC outdoors and Walking the Brecon Beacons. We did a 22km hike to the Chartist cave in the Brecon Beacons. It was a fantastic day with great company. The route was really varied and interesting. Chris was a knowledgeable and engaging guide. The duration and pace of the hike were good, information beforehand also helpful to plan kit. Would really recommend a ROC outdoors experience.

It was a fantastic weekend with waterfalls and followed by mountains with lovely group. You are a wonderful hike leader showing us and explaining... very educational too. I’ve been on many hikes with different leaders but with Chris he laid the hike into different phases so we can relax in between so we could speed up the next difficult phase.
He gave head up with weather conditions too.
Many thanks for taking us a hike to remember...and of course looking forward to a next one 😊😊

I spent 2 days walking in North Wales with ROC Adventure and it was a great experience. Chris made the trip really enjoyable and kept us entertained with stories about local history, industrial heritage, geology, flora and fauna. Health and safety was always paramount and Chris kept checking that everyone was ok. Before starting out Chris made sure that everyone was prepared and had the necessary kit and supplies. He also made sure we were all healthy and fit to walk. Despite the weather, and lack of views, we completed a circular route of Snowdon on day 1. Not quite the horseshoe but the weather wasn’t amenable for an ascent of Crib. Fortunately the weather on day 2 was much better and we had great views from Moel Siobod. Chris made the walks interesting and engaging and chose routes to suit the group and the conditions. I highly recommend Chris for guided walks, he’s a great guy who makes the walks interesting and fun.

Been to places I have not been to before, had my comfort zone challenged, my confidence improved, my health benefited and met with fabulous, supportive people. Chris Thomas is an excellent guide. I cannot recommend this company and Chris enough.
