Riverside Paddle - Oxfordshire

I recently had the pleasure of joining a guided paddleboarding session with Riverside Paddle, led by the lovely Louise, and it was such a special experience. As someone used to sea paddling, trying river paddling for the first time was a real treat - peaceful, scenic, and incredibly calming.

The setting of this sweet village and the routes along the River Thame and River Thames were beautiful, with birdsong, winding waters, and even hot air balloons overhead. Louise was a brilliant guide! Friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel at ease, no matter their skill level. She gave great tips and let us paddle at our own pace, with no pressure to keep up or do things a certain way. We also had the chance to try some fun skills and chat with others in the group.

The whole experience was the perfect mix of relaxation, nature, adventure, and community. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced paddlers alike!

On Friday last week we decided to rent a canoe for the evening from Riverside Paddle, and what a fantastic decision it was! We had such a lovely time, it was incredibly peaceful on the river, and Louise and James were super helpful in providing us with all the information we needed to have a great time.

We will definitely be doing this again, and we would highly recommend Riverside Paddle to anyone who wants a fun, relaxing little escape - you will have the best time.

We had an idyllic evening paddle boarding on the rivers Thame and Thames.
Louise was both an excellent guide and provider of useful tips on improving our technique ,whilst allowing us the space to learn from our own mistakes!
