Really cool experience for a hot summer day-a boat trip from Richmond to Hampton court. Cost £11. There is a bar on board. There is no roof to cover you from the sun though so if you are worried to get sunburn, will have to seat on a ground floor, which is covered but doesn’t have good ventilation.

Stunning Riverside walk, with brilliant views of the Thames and Richmond bridge. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view and also go for long walks. Also a few restaurants close by as well to enjoy a meal. Parking around the area is difficult if not near impossible, with space allocated for residents only.

I'm giving it one star because this place appears to be permanently closed. There are no written signs stating this, but there are other signs.
We were disappointed because the sole purpose of our visit was this Visitor Centre. To be fair, their website should have been a clue.

Richmond Riviera doesn't have a visitor centre as such but you can stop at the main Library (not the lending library) and get an exposition or two of the wealth of history of Richmond thru the ages (and pick up what's on leaflets)
Worth the stroll along the riverside, either West tow path towards the back of Kew Gardens, or East Towpath towards Ham village and Richmond Park. Ham House worth visiting their Victorian vegetable Gardens
