If you'd like to learn more about bushcraft skills and meet new like minded people who are invested in building community, then this is the place for you! Claire and Kai run Rika and host courses which are accessible for all. I was a newcomer to bushcraft and at no time did I feel silly for asking obvious questions - they are patient and understanding at all times which helped me feel at ease.

The grounds are a lovely haven, and it's great to hear their future plans about up and coming projects and opportunities. Courses are priced very reasonably and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for anyone with a passing interst in the outdoors.

It was a great day, perfect balance of structured activity time and freedom to explore, climb and play.
Clare and Kai were great with both adults and kids. Communication in the buildup was fantastic and it was the least stressful and most enjoyable party I've organised for my kids (and this is my 3rd child).
Highly recommend.
Back to nature and kids having freedom to be kids.

Having previously visited the site through scouts my daughter recently asked if she could go to Rika with a few friends for her birthday. We all left with fantastic memories and new skills to boot.
We booked onto one of the 2 hour sessions doing Archery and Fire lighting on a cold Sunday winters morning. Upon arrival a fire was already lit and the warmth of the fire was only enhanced further by the warm welcome from Clare and Kai.
The equipment and tutoring from Kai asking with his calm and knowledgeable nature meant even those with short attention spans took note and improved during the archery session.
With a belly full of hot chocolate and biscuits we then progressed to learning all about fire making from the best materials to techniques along with some great (and fun!) demonstrations before the kids got involved.
The Rika site is a lovely tranquil place and we can't wait to go back and take part in other activities in the future. If you are looking for bushcraft, outdoor events from knowledgeable and warm people then look no further. Thank You both.

I attended an evening of bushcraft skills organised by Wired Differently & Rika ACE CIC. It was absolutely wonderful & I learned a lot, including how to set fires using different materials & tools. The organisers were really friendly & supportive, & the location was incredible! It was a peaceful, relaxed & very friendly evening, & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their events. The team at Rika bushcraft are very friendly, fully inclusive, understanding and approachable.
They make sure that everyone who is attending a session has fun whilst learning .
All the team is first aid Qualified and have covid measures in place. Our family really enjoy their sessions.

This is a wonderful place for kids (and adults!) to learn, meet new friends and experience new activities in the fresh air of the beautiful forest. I absolutely love going with my son to the home education groups and the activities are so interesting, I always want to join in!! Clare and Kai are brilliant with the kids. They are highly trained and qualified in bushcraft, fully inclusive and also teach first aid. My son met a friend there who used a wheelchair and all the kids helped him get around the forest and do everything they all did. It was so lovely to watch. Clare and Kai ensure safety always comes first with the tools, the activities and the environment which makes for a very safe experience. This is one of the best groups around for children of all abilities and I absolutely recommend children and adults try their courses!

Fantastic birthday party here today for my 9 year old Henri. We can't recommend this place enough for fun, engaging outdoor activity in a lovely safe environment. Rika has been one of the best children/young peoples activities I’ve come across. They run home education settings which my children attend weekly, they also run sessions for adults and families. The staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating and adaptable and as my son has disabilities this has been invaluable and again one of few providers I’ve found that have gone above and beyond to be inclusive. Could not recommend this highly enough.
