My wife and I just finished a fabulous 20 mile ride with Ricky and his cute companion, dog Lucy. Ricky is a terrific guide and very knowledgeable about Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. He picked us up at our hotel in Edinburgh and in 15 minutes we were biking along the River away from Edinburgh traffic. We saw some beautiful sights, river, 200 year old bridge, riverside town, local cows and sheep and some beautiful posh old Scottish homes. Ricky is a great tour guide and knows people and bikes. He set us up on two newer bikes he adjusted for us and catered to our needs to get some quality exercise without killing ourselves in monster hills. We stopped for a quick pick up snack along the river and he was willing to take breaks slow down as needed. Given he’s from Italy originally he choose Edinburgh as his home and he brings a unique perspective to the city, its attractions and all things Europe. Must say his doggie Lucy stole the show and we saw lots of people smiling at her as she rode by in her princess carriage behind Ricky’s bike. If you are looking for a great bike guide and very nice human being you could not do better than choosing Ricky.

Had an excellent private tour with Stuart. All arranged at very short notice. A great way to see the city especially if you’ve limited time. Stuart was knowledgeable, charming and so accommodating. He adapted the itinerary to meet our needs.
Bikes were in great condition. His road safety and instructions were super clear and safe without feeling too restrictive. I would not hesitate to recommend.

We booked a city tour in Edinburgh and had a great time. The bikes were well maintained, the route was so much fun! Ricky and Robbie made sure we were all safe and aware of where we were heading. It was nice to get out of the city a bit and ride on a nice path. I highly recommend this tour. The regular bike was nice. And the ebikes seemed good too.

Such an incredibly fun and informative excursion! My firmed and I were on a girls trip to the UK and spent our last few days in Edinburgh. The city itself is pretty easy to navigate, but we thought we would take a bike tour and see what was outside of the city limits and boy are we glad we did!! Ricky and Robbie, our guides were fantastic from start to finish—ensuring our safety, telling us all about the sites and making sure everyone regardless of e-bike skill was taken care of. We rode all the way down to the water of Leith, which was absolutely gorgeous and stopped for a delicious coffee/snack break. It truly was such a memorable experience and one that I highly, highly recommend to anyone and everyone who is visiting Edinburgh. You won’t regret it!

We had the best day with Stuart out in Aberfoyle today. He built an itinerary that we knew would he very different than our regular mountain biking trails in the Canadian Rockies. It was hard, fun and one of the most full filling physical experiences we have had! If we had more time here we would hire him for another day just to explore Edinburgh from his perspective. I’m quite positive day two after that 66km ride would be e-bikes though! Thanks so much for the great experience, we hope to see you again one day!

Thank you for a really great experience! Beautiful way of exploring Edinburgh and hidden corners. Ricky took us on a very special tour which I really enjoyed big time.
He’s a very entertaining and mindful guide. The Bikes are in a very good condition. Very recommended! Would definitely do any time again. ; )

Ricky’s Bicycle Tour was the highlight of our trip to Scotland! My husband and I took the tour of Edinburgh/Leith and enjoyed every minute, even though we hadn’t ridden a bike in over twenty years. Stuart was a fantastic guide and he and Ricky were kind and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend!

Stu was an awesome tour guide. My better half and I did the "From the City to the Shore of Leith" half day tour on 9/29/2021. Turns out we were the only ones on that tour and Stu essentially gave us a private tour. Your results may vary but I appreciate that Ricky's Bicycle Tours still went ahead with only the 2 of us when they would have been completely justified in cancelling that tour. We've done bike tours in many major cities, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Munich, Marrakesh and Croatia to name a few. We both agree that this was definitely a world class tour. A good tour guide really makes the difference and Stu made the difference! He was knowledgable about all the sites in Edinburgh and out to Leith and back. We both genuinely appreciated that Stu is a local and when we ask about his opinions on more general Scotland/UK topics he provided them (But like a true professional not before we asked for them :-). We got a taste of Edinburgh/Scotland and some candid opinions on where a local thinks of both fit into the world. Also the Hybrid bikes were practically new and had 0 issues.
