We came to this pub on the first night of our boat tour of the Norfolk canals, and I must say that the choice was a good one.

Starting from the mooring, there really is plenty of room (a bit muddy the way from the mooring to the pub, but no big deal). You can also get there from the road or by the beautiful chain ferry.

The atmosphere in the pub is really unique and takes you back in time (the pub dates back to 1874). A great thing is that they don't have wifi in the pub (pretend it's 1995).

We had two fish and chips, and again the writing was right. The fish is very big, the chips very tasty. To drink an Amber beer and some white wine.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.?

I celebrated my 65th birthday with my wife here today and we had a lovely meal in the wonderful reedham ferry inn, we’ve been coming here all week for drinks and sitting outside watching the ferry bumble back and forth over the river yare, funny thing to do?, maybe but for people like us from the world of busy busy busy essex it’s lovely , a real stress buster, so glad to have found this wonderful place whilst on holiday here, good food , lovely staff and good beer. What’s not to like!, highly recommended. Yes the photos are of the ferry, I’m not one for photographing food, just eating it, miss this place and it’s your loss!.

As a family we used to visit this Ferry, with attached pub, frequently during the 50s and 60s.
Now returning to the broads after 40 years, I find many changes, mostly disappointing. But this excellent place has changed little and is now my go to place in the county.
Landlady Sam, heads a brilliant crew, all of whom charming, a terrific menu with some of the best pub grub I know (and I visit and eat at a lot of pubs). And one meets many interesting locals and their dogs, which is another great plus point, dogs are welcome !!
The range of excellently kept local ales are a joy in what is now a largely Chinese owned Greene King dominated industry, (and their beer is now dreadful, to say the least !!)
I hope to return very soon.

Great rest stop and welcome hostelry, right by the river. (Closed on Mon and Tues).
After refreshment some great walks along the banks of the river, with views across the reeds to the horizon.
We stayed at the touring site, with high quality showers and facilities and plenty of space for our 7.5 metre motohome. The site is open all year round, weather permitting.
Adjacent to the Inn is the chain ferry, shuttling vehicles across the water at a sedate pace.
Great place in the round, we enjoyed I!

Very welcomed. Helpful staff. Atmosphere only scored a 3 because we were there in October, low season, but I expect it can get very busy. Food was good ?. We're back again next June, should be able to push that star rating up ?

This is a great little camp site. Truly peaceful with lovely views and dog walks. The facilities were great with a large, very clean toilet and shower block.
The pub has a very friendly atmosphere and the food is fantastic.
We are already planning our next mini break.
