A wonderful sanctuary with beautiful horses, ponies, donkeys and goats. There are big areas where the animals can roam during the day and stables for their night accommodation. Staff is lovely and friendly. You can adopt an animal or buy something from the shop to contribute to the sanctuary. Animals are familiarised with people and come to the guests for hugs and petting. If you want to have a beautiful day in the countryside and you love animals, then you need to visit them!

I attend an equestrian college in Surrey and absolutely love horses. We discovered about Redwings Horse Sanctuary online.

We drove up from South Croydon to visit the centre and it was absolutely worth the drive. The staff here are so lovely, very talkative and full of knowledge. One of the girls who worked in the cafe/shop told us facts about the donkies they’ve also got on site all things we didn’t know!

It was a shame about the weather being not on our side but we will absolutely be visiting again soon!

A lovely couple of hours meeting the horses and donkeys who live here. The site is quiet and easily accessible with around 80 horses and ponies who are, mostly, willing to interact with visitors. There are plenty of walks around the paddocks too if you're looking to get your steps in.

The food from the onside cafe was good, with good options for children and adults alike, and cakes for afterwards. The seating inside is a bit basic, but there are plenty of tables outside.

The gift shop carries a smaller selection than the Redwings website, mostly focusing on the adoption stars who live at Ada Cole itself.

Being an outdoor venue a good one for keeping for the warmer weather!

Came here with my dog and we had a lovely day out. The horses are all very well looked after. Well fed, clean, with lots of space to run around. They look happy. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely member of staff who explained how to make our way around the sanctuary. There are many different types of horses and donkeys and you can read about their stories. A nice touch is the little bric a brac shops and the cafe. Love that it’s dog friendly and despite my dog not behaving perfectly around the horses, everyone was very welcoming!

While it was a very hot day when we visited, the horses were provided for and had a good temperament, willing to be greeted. Everything is well organised and we had a sandwich and a drink from the shop.

Before you set out, think about who sits in the passenger seat of your car though, as they will probably need to get out and open the entrance gate. They should also trust the driver not to drive off without them at this point 😏

It's a great place to spend some time. It's a shame we need places like this throughout the country to look after animalS that are neglected or can't be cared for. Lots of horses to look at. It's free to get in, but you ought to give something to help with the costs.
